In order to enhance the efficiency and the level of instruments management in colleges and universities, the management system of instruments sharing based on RFID technology has been designed, developed and brought into operation. Automation and intelligentization of lots of work have been achieved such as user authentication of instruments, open reservation of instruments, charge and sharing of instruments, real-time management of laboratory, settlement of expenditure and benefit evaluation, promoting the open sharing of instruments in colleges and universities.

Publications and researches are one of the important activities of higher education institutions (HEIs) worldwide. Many HEIs, especially in Iraq, are facing different types of problems in managing publication information. This paper presents the design and implementation of researches management system (RMS) to be adopted in one of the state universities in Iraq. RMS is a web-based application to manage the publications and researches information in HEIs. The main goals of this application are collecting all submission publication information in a central database, generating different types of publication reports, generating real-time different statistics, saving all researchers information in the HEI, and facilitating checking and tracking the submitted researches.

Fleet tracking or vehicle tracking allows businesses in a variety of industries to keep track of their vehicle fleet in a convenient and cost-effective manner. But with IOT devices connected to each vehicle, it produces huge amount of data, which is an overload to the users of Fleet Management System (FMS). This data itself is not valuable unless it can be analyzed and interpreted correctly. Quality data can help fleet owners to understand the efficiency, driver safety, expenses and profitability of owning and managing their fleet. In this proposed work, we developed a dashboard for the existing Fleet Management System which will provide descriptive analytics and support in preventive maintenance of the fleet. The FMS Dashboard is a key module of the FMS system. This module uses GPS data like vehicle starts, stops, and idling, fuel consumption, engine running hours, vehicle speeds and location from each vehicle to provide real-time useful insights on vehicle activity, driver behavior and tracking of fleet. Based on historic data, descriptive analytics will summarize past performance of the vehicle to enable users to plan for maintenance to perform. Also preventive maintenance reports helps the fleet owners to estimate, when the vehicle service is due and plan for the same. Apart from this, vehicle can be tracked real-time in Google Maps.

In order to resolve the problem of security monitoring and management for the elderly, children and employees of enterprises, and meet the application needs of protecting the information of stolen mobile phones, so designed an intelligent personnel management system based on Android mobile phone. The monitoring side and the monitored side both used smart phones and transferred data to each other via the server in system. This system was available in real-time location query, historical route reviewing, distress alerting emergency, security protection of privacy information and other functions. The simulated and practical test shows that the system runs in good condition and could provide real-time and effective information for related personnel, so it has a pretty promising.
