In this paper, we introduce the concept of a countably asymptotically ?-nonexpansive operator. In addition, we establish new fixed point results for some countably asymptotically ?-nonexpansive and sequentially continuous maps, fixed-point results of Krasnosel?skii type in locally convex spaces. Moreover, we present Leray-Schauder-type fixed point theorems for countably asymptotically ?-nonexpansive maps in locally convex spaces. Apart from that we show the applicability of our results to the theory of Volterra integral equations in locally convex spaces. The main condition in our results is formulated in terms of the axiomatic measure of noncompactness. Our results improve and extend in a broad sense recent ones obtained in literature.

<p>Kirk introduced the notion of pointwise eventually asymptotically non-expansive mappings and proved that uniformly convex Banach spaces have the fixed point property for pointwise eventually asymptotically non expansive maps. Further, Kirk raised the following question: “Does a Banach space X have the fixed point property for pointwise eventually asymptotically nonexpansive mappings when ever X has the fixed point property for nonexpansive mappings?”. In this paper, we prove that a Banach space X has the fixed point property for pointwise eventually asymptotically nonexpansive maps if X  has uniform normal structure or X is uniformly convex in every direction with the Maluta constant D(X) &lt; 1. Also, we study the asymptotic behavior of the sequence {Tnx} for a pointwise eventually asymptotically nonexpansive map T defined on a nonempty weakly compact convex subset K of a Banach space X whenever X satisfies the uniform Opial condition or X has a weakly continuous duality map.</p>

In this paper, we propose an iterative algorithm for finding the common element of solution set of a split equilibrium problem and common fixed point set of a finite family of asymptotically nonexpansive mappings in Hilbert space. The strong convergence of this algorithm is proved.

Abstract In this paper, we discuss the Δ-convergence and strong convergence for the iterative sequence generated by the proposed scheme to approximate a common fixed point of a total asymptotically nonexpansive single-valued mapping and a quasi nonexpansive multi-valued mapping in a complete uniformly convex hyperbolic space. Finally, by giving an example, we illustrate our result.

AbstractIn this paper, we propose an iteration algorithm for finding a split common fixed point of an asymptotically nonexpansive mapping in the frameworks of two real Banach spaces. Under some suitable conditions imposed on the sequences of parameters, some strong convergence theorems are proved, which also solve some variational inequalities that are closely related to optimization problems. The results here generalize and improve the main results of other authors.
