The efficiency of application of linear programming methods to problems of the theory of similarity and dimensions is shown. A general algorithm for formation of the set of similarity criteria for a physical process in the class of homogeneous functions is proposed. The set of systems of linear algebraic equations is created using the combinatorial method and chain diagrams. Basic and free variables and their corresponding variants of dimensionless sets of independent arguments, which are taken as the main similarity criteria, are distinguished. The set of derived similarity criteria is found using the basic criteria and the Cayley table.

The paper describes a software-defined radar target simulator with DRFM. One may use such a device to test radars under development and evaluate their reliability in environments with radio frequency interference. The paper describes in detail a general algorithm of the target simulation and its modules for the simulation of range and speed. The authors also implemented the frequency shift module for the simulator in Xilinx System Generator and wrote this module in VHDL. One may find in the paper a comparison of the FPGA resources required for such implementations.

We present a new approach based on the notion of inertance for the simultaneous collisions without friction of a rigid solid. The calculations are performed using the screw (plückerian) coordinates, while the results are obtained in matrix form, and they may be easily implemented for different practical situations. One calculates the velocities after collision, the energy of lost velocities, and the loss of the kinetic energy. The general algorithm of calculation is described in the paper. The main assumption is that the normal velocities at the contact points vanish simultaneously. The coefficients of restitution at the contact points may be equal or not. Some completely solved applications are also presented, and the numerical results are discussed. The numerical values depend on which coefficient of restitution is used.

The volumes of relatively inexpensive ship transportation of wood raw materials can be significantly increased by more actively using middle rivers for these purposes. However, the existing technologies for loading timber onto ships do not allow this. To solve the problem, the design of a mobile small-sized pier and the corresponding technologies for transshipment of timber cargo using logging equipment have been proposed. The design of a mobile berth involves the substantiation of its geometric parameters. In this regard, using the graphic-analytical method, recommendations are given, and empirical dependences are proposed for calculating the calculated values of the ship’s draft, the width and length of the loader, on which the indicated parameters of the mobile pier depend. The recommended value of the angle between the lower and upper surfaces of the berth α, as well as between the aft surface and the vertical B. A general algorithm for calculating the geometric parameters of a mobile pier is proposed. Using this algorithm, for example, the geometric parameters of the berth designed for loading timber onto barges on the middle rivers of the North Dvina basin during the flood period were determined. The pier height is 2.8 m, the length is 9.0 m, the width is 5.0 m, the height in the bow is 0.42 m, the length of the coastal ramp is 1.46 m, angles α=16gr, B =15gr.

The article reflects a detailed study of the issue under consideration with the study of criteria and indicators for assessing the quality of educational services that are relevant, in the opinion of the authors, for higher educational institutions. Based on the results of the analysis, it was developed methodology and algorithm for assessing the quality of the provision of educational services in higher educational institutions. At the heart of the study, when considering the data collection toolkit, it is proposed to assess the quality of educational services by examining three target groups of respondents: students, graduates, and faculty. A general algorithm for the approbation of monitoring tools with the use of a consolidated coefficient of the quality of educational services has been developed. The use of the methodology for monitoring the quality of educational services provided by the authors will make it possible to assess their quality and develop recommendations for improving it.

PV plants are increasing all over the world and they are becoming a distinct part of electric grids. Due to abundance of solar irradiation and almost constant amount of it in certain geographical latitudes, selection of proper capacity of PV plants depends mostly on available places for the site. in this paper, important measures for safe connection of a PV plant in terms of voltage requirements are addressed and several guidelines are introduced for this purpose. In addition, simulation results are included to prove some of the mentioned suggestions. a general algorithm is finally proposed to show the directions for safe connection of PV plants.

Abstract We generalize the constructions for the multipartite reflected entropy in order to construct spacetimes capable of representing multipartite entanglement wedge cross sections of differing party number as Ryu-Takayanagi surfaces on a single replicated geometry. We devise a general algorithm for such constructions for arbitrary party number and demonstrate how such methods can be used to derive novel inequalities constraining mulipartite entanglement wedge cross sections.
