The structure of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) is an interconnected network of discrete components that record and count the votes of voters. The EVM system consists of four main subsystems which are Mother board of computer, Voting keys, Database storage system, power supply (AC and DC) along with various conditions of functioning as well as deficiency. The deficiency or failure of system is due to its components (hardware), software and human mismanagement. It is essential to reduce complexity of interconnected components and increase system reliability. Reliability analysis helps to identify technical situations that may affect the system and to predict the life of the system in future. The aim of this research paper is to analyze the reliability parameters of an EVM system using one of the approaches of computational intelligence, the neural network (NN). The probabilistic equations of system states and other reliability parameters are established for the proposed EVM model using neural network approach. It is useful for predicting various reliability parameters and improves the accuracy and consistency of parameters. To guarantee the reliability of the system, Back Propagation Neural Network (BPNN) architecture is used to learn a mechanism that can update the weights which produce optimal parameters values. Numerical examples are considered to authenticate the results of reliability, unreliability and profit function. To minimize the error and optimize the output in the form of reliability using gradient descent method, authors iterate repeatedly till the precision of 0.0001 error using MATLAB code. These parameters are of immense help in real time applications of Electronic Voting Machine during elections.

The e-voting system which developed using two central facilities protokol consist of three component that is voting machine as client for interaction with voter, central legitimization agency (CLA) as server voter authentication, and central tabulating facility (CTF) as server for result recapitulation voter vote count. Research in this paper just focused to voter authentication process on voting machine toward database of voter that stored in CLA with using fingerprint biometric technology. Fingerprint biometric technology used for voter registration process, voter verification process, and voter authentication process who will doing election. Registration process for acquiring voter fingerprint image database, verification process to be sure voter database can be verificated or not, and authentication process for voter authorization who can be permitted or not by system give of vote in election.

Abstract ‘Proved effective on trial, we can speak of an achieved ideal’ Abraham Kuyper and the mechanical voting machine, c. 1895-1905 During the latest presidential elections in the United States, unfounded conspiracy theories sprung up concerning alleged ballot box fraud by compromised voting machines. Although different voting machines had been used in the Netherlands since 1966, concerns over their reliability ended this in 2007. This article investigates the forgotten but ultimately failed attempt to introduce mechanical voting machines a century earlier. It focuses on the role played by prominent politician Abraham Kuyper, who personally visited the Standard Voting Machine Company in Rochester in 1898. The article illustrates how Kuyper’s transatlantic political and religious networks facilitated the voting machine’s transfer, rather than scientific connections. Paradoxically, the introduction of proportional representation in 1917 marked the end of tentative attempts to develop a Dutch version of the American mechanical voting machine. The implementation in the voting process turned out be too expensive, too early, and too complicated for the Dutch electoral system at the dawn of the twentieth century.

Electronic voting, as well as Internet voting, is in the process of being incorporated into most democracies in the world. The literature on the topic is abundant as well as the technologies offered. Most of the work, nevertheless, seems to bypass the actual origins of the modern (and current) electronic voting systems (Oudenhove et al., 2001).
