The study results of the influence of parameters of the process of chemical-thermal treatment in selenium vapor during the preparation of solid lubricating coatings from molybdenum diselenide on specimens of structural steels with a plasma Mo-coating are presented. An empirical mathematical model of the temperature-time parameters of the Mo selenization process is proposed, which makes possible to control the quality of the obtained coatings depending on requirements for their tribotechnical properties. An assessment of their tribotechnical characteristics in air and in vacuum in the temperature range 20—600 °С has been carried out.

Salt can cause titanium alloys to crack, and if long-time operation of titanium hardwares in salt atmospheres is expected, effective means must be found to eliminate or control this tendency. The authors describe in detail their stress-corrosion testing of titanium alloys, and the results are plotted in a number of tables. Figures show stress-versus-temperature charts at different high temperatures, and the microstructure of the alloy after testing is illustrated. The results of the tests are evaluated and a brief summary is given.

In this paper the two methods of pre-operation green samples to hot isostatic pressing (HIP) were investigated. The influence the method of formation (uniaxial and cold isostatic pressing) and the temperature-time parameters on property of samples was analyzed. Structural investigation was carried out and physical properties of samples were defined. The recommendations for pre-operation and uses of sintering modes samples for HIP were given.
