BACKGROUND: Ozone therapy has been successfully used in various diseases for years. But, what about urological diseases? We used ozone therapy for the treatment of several urological diseases. MATERIAL and METHODS: From November 2016 up to now, we performed ozone therapy to treat intractable urethritis in 16 patients, chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome in 14 patients, chronic cystitis in 14 patients, erectile dysfunction in 21 patients. We used several criteria to test the effectiveness of the ozone therapy. RESULTS: According to the follow-up results, we obtained complete success in more than 90% of the patients, complains of almost 5% the patients relieved to tolerable degree. The remaining 5% was unresponsive to the ozone therapy. We did not experience of any complications. DISCUSSION: Our results showed that ozone can be used to treat intractable and challenging urological diseases without any complications. Determining the right patient to be treated with ozone safely, ozone application route and ozone dose are the most essential steps. Therefore, selection criteria of treatable patients must be clarified with increasing clinical experience soon. CONCLUSION: This study summarizes and showed that different modalities of ozone therapy applications in various intractable or chronic urological diseases can be used successfully and safely.

28 women with leukoplakia of the bladder, clinically manifested by dysuria and pain in the bladder were observed. All patients have a history of chronic urinary tract infection. At the time of inclusion in the study there were no signs of exacerbation of cystitis. All patients underwent laser ablation of the altered bladder mucosa. Control examinations were performed 1, 3, and 6 months after surgery. Positive dynamics of clinical indicators was noted after surgery in all patients. Tolerance to laser ablation was satisfactory, there were no postoperative complications. A complete recovery of urothelium in the operation area was achieved after 6 months according to control cystoscopy. The results of the study showed high efficiency and safety of laser ablation of the altered bladder mucosa in patients with leukoplakia.

We report on the modification of the electric properties of the imidazolium-based [BMIM][NTf2] ionic liquid upon surface confinement in the sub-monolayer regime. Solid-like insulating nanostructures of [BMIM][NTf2] spontaneously form on a variety of insulating substrates, at odd with the liquid and conductive nature of the same substances in the bulk phase. A systematic spatially resolved investigation by atomic force microscopy of the morphological, mechanical and electrical properties of [BMIM][NTf2] nanostructures showed that this liquid substance rearranges into lamellar nanostructures with a high degree of vertical order and enhanced resistance to mechanical compressive stresses and very intense electric fields, denoting a solid-like character. The morphological and structural reorganization has a profound impact on the electric properties of supported [BMIM][NTf2] islands, which behave like insulator layers with a relative dielectric constant between 3 and 5, comparable to those of conventional ionic solids, and significantly smaller than those measured in the bulk ionic liquid. These results suggest that in the solid-like ordered domains confined either at surfaces or inside the pores of the nanoporous electrodes of photo-electrochemical devices, the ionic mobility and the overall electrical properties can be significantly perturbed with respect to the bulk liquid phase, which would likely influence the
performance of the devices.
Professional allergodermatoses are accompanied by cytochemical and immunochemical changes in the body of patients. The use of ozone therapy techniques in this category of patients can accelerate the recovery period and normalize the above indicators.
