This chapter uses direct citation network analysis and bibliometric analysis approach to explore the overall research development of China's technological innovation. Results show that environmental science ecology, engineering, science technology, and energy fuels are the top research topics related to China. A direct citation network of technological innovation in China is also illustrated to show the major themes of the technological innovation among key researchers in China. In addition, the authors adopt the relatedness measure as the basis of cluster analysis, which classifies five main research development groups related to the technological innovation in China. They then review the core papers under each group to illustrate the detailed development of each group. Researchers and practitioners can refer the results to identify the key papers in each development group and understand the influential research that may lead to the important technological innovations in China.

This paper presents the latest research development in international construction project (ICP) domain from 1995 to 2014 as revealed in the construction management related journals. A systematic document retrieval method was employed to collect relevant articles. The identified papers were analyzed by using bibliometric analysis comprising the investigation of the number of publication, the main originators of the research contributions, their affiliations, the most cited papers, and the sources of research funding as well as the research methods used. Ninety-eight relevant articles obtained from 12 major journals associated with construction management studies were successfully assessed. The results show an upward trend with some fluctuations during the period and the bibliometric information of ICP studies was successfully presented.

After more than four decades of post-graduate programs in Brazil focused on the preparation of teachers – the Stricto and Lato Sensu programs – we have verified a gearing frequency of academic works that reflect on these programs. Through a bibliometric analysis and a content analysis of scientific publications focused on the Stricto Sensu programs we conclude that the current stage of research development shows that these programs are associated with a concentrated focus on research and that pedagogical preparation is being made secondary. The methodology used was qualitative, data from the Brazilian Platform for Higher Education Personnel Improvement Coordination (CAPES) and the Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo) were used and analyzed using the Iramuteq software. The results showed that since the 2000s the number of doctoral theses and master's dissertations has grown and the area with the most publications refers to the health sciences. This bias motivates an accessory debate as well as revealing the implications of the focus of these programs.
