REQUIREMENTS TO FORMULATION AND PROBLEM SOLVING OF EDUCATIONAL AND RESEARCH PROBLEMS AIMED AT TEACHER TRAINING COLLEGE STUDENTS DURING BLENDED LEARNING IN MATHEMATICS

Statement of the problem. A fairly large number of requirements are presented to a graduate of a teacher training college. One of them is competence in information technology (hereinafter IT). This should be taught to students not only during computer science lessons, but also in the disciplines of the general education cycle, such as mathematics. Insufficient development of the methodology for using IT in mathematics lessons, some shortcomings in the use of digital technologies complicate the implementation of IT in the educational process. This article considers the role of IT in solving educational and research problems in mathematics; reveals the advantages and disadvantages of blended learning; the ways of eliminating these shortcomings with the help of the methodology for solving educational and research problems are outlined; the requirements to the formulation of educational and research tasks, which would contribute to the formation of skills in the use of IT, have been determined. The purpose of the article is to formulate the requirements to the formulation of an educational and research problem during blended learning in Mathematics among students of teacher training colleges. The research methodology consists of the analysis and systematization of documents in the field of secondary vocational education, research works on this topic, and the author’s own experience in teaching mathematics to students of a teacher training college. Research results. In the course of the analysis, the following results are presented: – the role of IT in solving educational and research problems in mathematics is determined; – the advantages and disadvantages of blended learning are revealed; – ways to eliminate the shortcomings of blended learning using the methodology for solving educational and research problems are outlined; – the requirements for the formulation of educational and research tasks, which would contribute to the formation of skills in the use of IT, are determined. Conclusion. The analysis carried out in the course of the study made it possible to formulate the requirements to the formulation of educational and research problems during blended learning in Mathematics among students of teacher training colleges.

This article is an attempt at a polemic with selected, published positions of the Polish world of science, which deny the importance of the growing role of IT solutions in modern education, and their representatives still believe that the current system of transferring knowledge using traditional methods (Herbart School) is the only correct one. As early as the early twentieth century, the eminent reformer of American schooling, John Dewey, wrote that „if we teach today’s students as we taught yesterday, we rob them of the future”. The issues discussed concern both the results of the author’s own research on the digitization of Polish schools, as well as a literature review of the OECD, BECTA, Ken Robinson and the Educational Research Institute of the Ministry of National Education in terms of the effects of using information and communication technologies in education.

Pengembangan Aplikasi Simarsip untuk Penyusutan Arsip di Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Universitas Negeri Surabaya

Along with the development of information technology (IT) whose role is very supportive of human activities in this era of globalization, it is believed that the role of IT is also to optimize working time more practically, effectively, and efficiently. Appropriate and good information management really supports the performance of each existing element. IT has become one of the basic needs at this time, both in the government and private sectors, requiring IT to be an important part of supporting the administrative process and the process of changing situations and conditions that are developing rapidly.This study aims to develop or create a Simarsip application in the hope of being able to provide information about the archive shrinkage time in accordance with the archive retention schedule (JRA) which is able to accommodate archive shrinkage activities within the Research Institute for the Public, State University of Surabaya and facilitate the destruction of archives. The Simarsip application is targeted by users who are archivists, especially researchers and general administrative staff within LPPM Unesa offline, with the hope that it can also be used by other units in need by hosting and to facilitate the use of the Simarsip application, implementing research, making user manuals, and for development. TI menjadi salah satu kebutuhan pokok saat ini baik disektor pemerintah maupun sektor swasta membutuhkan TI menjadi bagian penting mendukung proses administrasi dan proses perubahan pada situasi yang sangat berkembang secara cepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan atau membuat Aplikasi Sim arsip dengan harapan mampu memberikan informasi tentang waktu penyusutan arsip sesuai dengan jadwal retensin arsip (JRA) yang mampu mewadahi kegiatan penyusutan arsip dilingkungan Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LPPM) Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Unesa) serta mempermudah pemusnahan arsip. Improving the Performance Management of Public Institutions: Is it Difficult to Measure Performance in Public Institutions?

In recent years, measuring the performance of public institutions has become a topic much studied by researchers, as questions arise about its structure and role in the economy and society, whether it is effectively put in the public service and whether it is effective or not. To improve the management system, there is a need to introduce a performance management whose main goal is the evaluation of performance at individual and organizational level along with the improvement of the efficiency of public expenditures and the orientation towards achieving the results. This paper aims to highlight the importance of performance measurement and explain the role of it in the development of the public institutions. The results were obtained after analyzing numerous qualitative and quantitative data and an extensive research was conducted to filter the information found in various research platforms, official electronic resources and numerous books related to performance management, performance evaluation system, characteristics and possible barriers that may occur while trying to measure the performance in the public sector. Moreover, since public sector performance is closely linked to the overall economic performance of different countries this research paper comes to complete the existing literature, leaving room for further research on the topic discussed.
