In a recent paper Miranda Jr., Pallara, Paronetto and Preunkert have shown that the classical De Giorgi's heat kernel characterisation of functions of bounded variation on Euclidean space extends to Riemannian manifolds with Ricci curvature bounded from below and which satisfy a uniform lower bound estimate on the volume of geodesic balls of fixed radius. We give a shorter proof of the same result assuming only the lower bound on the Ricci curvature.

In this note, we prove global weighted Sobolev inequalities on non-compact CD(0,N) spaces satisfying a suitable growth condition, extending to possibly non-smooth and non-Riemannian structures a previous result from Minerbe stated for Riemannian manifolds with non-negative Ricci curvature. We use this result in the context of RCD(0,N) spaces to get a uniform bound of the corresponding weighted heat kernel via a weighted Nash inequality.

Abstract Let $\mathcal{M}$ be a Riemannian $n$-manifold with a metric such that the manifold is Ahlfors regular. We also assume either non-negative Ricci curvature or the Ricci curvature is bounded from below together with a bound on the gradient of the heat kernel. We characterize BMO-functions $u: \mathcal{M} \to \mathbb{R}$ by a Carleson measure condition of their $\sigma $-harmonic extension $U: \mathcal{M} \times (0,\infty ) \to \mathbb{R}$. We make crucial use of a $T(b)$ theorem proved by Hofmann, Mitrea, Mitrea, and Morris. As an application, we show that the famous theorem of Coifman–Lions–Meyer–Semmes holds in this class of manifolds: Jacobians of $W^{1,n}$-maps from $\mathcal{M}$ to $\mathbb{R}^n$ can be estimated against BMO-functions, which now follows from the arguments for commutators recently proposed by Lenzmann and the 2nd-named author using only harmonic extensions, integration by parts, and trace space characterizations.

The purpose of this paper is to study anti-invariant Riemannian submersions from Sasakian manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds such that characteristic vector field is vertical or horizontal vector field. We first show that any anti-invariant Riemannian submersions from Sasakian manifold is not a Riemannian submersion with totally umbilical fiber. Then we introduce anti-invariant Riemannian submersions from Sasakian manifolds with totally contact umbilical fibers. We investigate the totally contact geodesicity of fibers of such submersions. Moreover, under this condition, we investigate Ricci curvature of anti-invariant Riemannian submersions from Sasakian manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds.
