Abstract In this paper, we present a new approach to obtaining the off-diagonal upper estimate of the heat kernel for any regular Dirichlet form without a killing part on the doubling space. One of the novelties is that we have obtained the weighted L 2 {L^{2}} -norm estimate of the survival function 1 - P t B ⁢ 1 B {1-P_{t}^{B}1_{B}} for any metric ball B, which yields a nice tail estimate of the heat semigroup associated with the Dirichlet form. The parabolic L 2 {L^{2}} mean-value inequality is borrowed to use.

AbstractWe prove the Sobolev-to-Lipschitz property for metric measure spaces satisfying the quasi curvature-dimension condition recently introduced in Milman (Commun Pure Appl Math, to appear). We provide several applications to properties of the corresponding heat semigroup. In particular, under the additional assumption of infinitesimal Hilbertianity, we show the Varadhan short-time asymptotics for the heat semigroup with respect to the distance, and prove the irreducibility of the heat semigroup. These results apply in particular to large classes of (ideal) sub-Riemannian manifolds.

In this paper, we study some important basic properties of Dunkl-bounded variation functions. In particular, we derive a way of approximating Dunkl-bounded variation functions by smooth functions and establish a version of the Gauss–Green Theorem. We also establish the Dunkl BV capacity and investigate some measure theoretic properties, moreover, we show that the Dunkl BV capacity and the Hausdorff measure of codimension one have the same null sets. Finally, we develop the characterization of a heat semigroup of the Dunkl-bounded variation space, thereby giving its relation to the functions of Dunkl-bounded variation.

AbstractLet M be a complete, non-compact, connected Riemannian manifold with Ricci curvature bounded from below by a negative constant. A sufficient condition is obtained for open and connected sets D in M for which the corresponding Dirichlet heat semigroup is intrinsically ultracontractive. That condition is formulated in terms of capacitary width. It is shown that both the reciprocal of the bottom of the spectrum of the Dirichlet Laplacian acting in $$L^2(D)$$ L 2 ( D ) , and the supremum of the torsion function for D are comparable with the square of the capacitary width for D if the latter is sufficiently small. The technical key ingredients are the volume doubling property, the Poincaré inequality and the Li-Yau Gaussian estimate for the Dirichlet heat kernel at finite scale.

Abstract We introduce three representation formulas for the fractional p-Laplace operator in the whole range of parameters 0 < s < 1 and 1 < p < ∞. Note that for p ≠ 2 this a nonlinear operator. The first representation is based on a splitting procedure that combines a renormalized nonlinearity with the linear heat semigroup. The second adapts the nonlinearity to the Caffarelli-Silvestre linear extension technique. The third one is the corresponding nonlinear version of the Balakrishnan formula. We also discuss the correct choice of the constant of the fractional p-Laplace operator in order to have continuous dependence as p → 2 and s → 0+, 1−. A number of consequences and proposals are derived. Thus, we propose a natural spectral-type operator in domains, different from the standard restriction of the fractional p-Laplace operator acting on the whole space. We also propose numerical schemes, a new definition of the fractional p-Laplacian on manifolds, as well as alternative characterizations of the W s, p (ℝ n ) seminorms.

In this paper, we consider the following indirect signal generation and singular sensitivity n t = Δ n + χ ∇ ⋅ n / φ c ∇ c ,   x ∈ Ω , t > 0 , c t = Δ c − c + w ,   x ∈ Ω , t > 0 , w t = Δ w − w + n ,   x ∈ Ω , t > 0 , in a bounded domain Ω ⊂ R N N = 2 , 3 with smooth boundary ∂ Ω . Under the nonflux boundary conditions for n , c , and w , we first eliminate the singularity of φ c by using the Neumann heat semigroup and then establish the global boundedness and rates of convergence for solution.

In this paper we consider the global existence, regularizing-decay rate and asymptotic behavior of mild solutions to the Cauchy problem of fractional drift diffusion system with power-law nonlinearity. Using the properties of fractional heat semigroup and the classical estimates of fractional heat kernel, we first prove the global-in-time existence and uniqueness of the mild solutions in the frame of mixed time-space Besov space with multi-linear continuous mappings. Then we show the asymptotic behavior and regularizing-decay rate estimates of the solution to equations with power-law nonlinearity by the method of multi-linear operator and the classical Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev inequality.
