We studied the existence of a random exponential attractor in the weighted space of infinite sequences for second-order nonautonomous stochastic lattice system with linear multiplicative white noise. Firstly, we present some sufficient conditions for the existence of a random exponential attractor for a continuous cocycle defined on a weighted space of infinite sequences. Secondly, we transferred the second-order stochastic lattice system with multiplicative white noise into a random lattice system without noise through the Ornstein–Uhlenbeck process, whose solutions generate a continuous cocycle on a weighted space of infinite sequences. Thirdly, we estimated the bound and tail of solutions for the random system. Fourthly, we verified the Lipschitz continuity of the continuous cocycle and decomposed the difference between two solutions into a sum of two parts, and carefully estimated the bound of the norm of each part and the expectations of some random variables. Finally, we obtained the existence of a random exponential attractor for the considered system.

Suppose X is a Banach space and J is the interval −∞<t<∞. For 1 ≦ p<∞, a function is said to be Stepanov-bounded or Sp-bounded on J if(for the definitions of almost periodicity and Sp-almost periodicity, see Amerio-Prouse (1, pp. 3 and 77).

We firstly introduce the concept and the properties ofCmalmost periodic functions on time scales, which generalizes the concept of almost periodic functions on time scales and the concept ofC(n)-almost periodic functions. Secondly, we consider the existence and uniqueness of almost periodic solutions for second order dynamic equations on time scales by Schauder’s fixed point theorem and contracting mapping principle. At last, we obtain alternative theorems for second order dynamic equations on time scales.

We are concerned with the existence of homoclinic solutions for the following second order nonautonomous singular Hamiltonian systemsu¨+atWuu=0, (HS) where-∞<t<+∞,u=u1,u2, …,uN∈ℝNN≥3,a:ℝ→ℝis a continuous bounded function, and the potentialW:ℝN∖{ξ}→ℝhas a singularity at0≠ξ∈ℝN, andWuuis the gradient ofWatu. The novelty of this paper is that, for the case thatN≥3and (HS) is nonautonomous (neither periodic nor almost periodic), we show that (HS) possesses at least one nontrivial homoclinic solution. Our main hypotheses are the strong force condition of Gordon and the uniqueness of a global maximum ofW. Different from the cases that (HS) is autonomousat≡1or (HS) is periodic or almost periodic, as far as we know, this is the first result concerning the case that (HS) is nonautonomous andN≥3. Besides the usual conditions onW, we need the assumption thata′t<0for allt∈ℝto guarantee the existence of homoclinic solution. Recent results in the literature are generalized and significantly improved.
