Forced convection heat transfer of non-Newtonian MWCNTs nanofluids in microchannels under laminar flow

A solution is developed for the problem of transient mass dispersion in fully developed laminar flow in a tube. The method can be extended to more general geometries, and by superposition to include more general boundary conditions such as those which occur in forced convection heat transfer.

This paper describes an investigation into combined free and forced convection heat transfer for laminar water flow in horizontal tubes. The experimental data obtained do not agree with existing correlations, which relate mainly to oils. A new correlation has been derived which fits the water data to within ±8 per cent.
