Hierarchical structures are assembled by various building blocks, which can enhance the electrochemical performance with the features of both micromaterials and nanomaterials.
A hybrid micron/submicron-sized Si@FeSiy/SiOx structure is developed by ball-milling of Si and Fe powders via ammonia-assisted one-pot synthesis. It shows superior electrochemical performance as an anode material for lithium-ion batteries.
