This paper presents a new hyperchaotic system which shows some interesting features, the system is 4-dimensional with 4 nonlinearities. An extensive numerical analysis has showed that the system has some interesting features and strange behaviors. The numerical analysis includes studying the effect of system parameters and initial conditions. Some of the important properties of the system with parameter set, in which the system is hyperchaotic, such as Lyapunov exponents and Lyapunov dimension, dissipation and symmetry are found and discussed. In the next part of our work, a tracking controller for the proposed system is designed and then a synchronization control system for two identical systems is designed. The design procedure uses combination of a simple synergetic control with adaptive updating laws to identify the unknown parameters derived basing on Lyapunov theorem. Hardware implementation based on microcontroller unit (MCU) board is proposed and tested and used to experimentally validate the designed control and synchronization systems. As an application, the designed synchronization system is used as a secure analogue communication system. Using MATLAB, Simulation study for the control and synchronization systems is presented. The simulation and experimental study have been showed excellent results.

This paper addresses the chaos control and synchronization problems of a hyperchaotic system. It is assumed that the parameters of the hyperchaotic system are unknown and the system is perturbed by the external disturbance. Based on the Lyapunov stability theory and the adaptive control theory, suitable nonlinear controllers are designed for the asymptotic stability of the closed-loop system both for stabilization of hyperchaos at the origin and complete synchronization of two identical hyperchaotic systems. Accordingly, suitable update laws are proposed to estimate the fully uncertain parameters. All simulation results are carried out to validate the effectiveness of the theoretical findings. The effect of external disturbance is under our discussion.

We investigate the adaptive hybrid synchronization problem for a new hyperchaotic system with uncertain parameters. Based on the passivity theory and the adaptive control theory, corresponding controllers and parameter estimation update laws are proposed to achieve hybrid synchronization between two identical uncertain hyperchaotic systems with different initial values, respectively. Numerical simulation indicates that the presented methods work effectively.

This paper investigates the problem of chaos control and synchronization for new chaotic dynamical system and proposes a simple adaptive feedback control method for chaos control and synchronization under a reasonable assumption. In comparison with previous methods, the present control technique is simple both in the form of the controller and its application. Based on Lyapunov's stability theory, adaptive control law is derived such that the trajectory of the new system with unknown parameters is globally stabilized to the origin. In addition, an adaptive control approach is proposed to make the states of two identical systems with unknown parameters asymptotically synchronized. Numerical simulations are shown to verify the analytical results.
