Abstract In this paper, a novel memristor-based multi-scroll hyperchaotic system is proposed. Based on a voltage-controlled memristor and a modulating sine nonlinear function, a novel method is proposed to generate the multi-scroll hyperchaotic attractors. First, a multi-scroll chaotic system is constructed from a three-dimensional chaotic system by designing a modulating sine nonlinear function. Then, a voltage-controlled memristor is introduced into the above-designed multi-scroll chaotic system. Thus, a memristor-based multi-scroll hyperchaotic system is generated, and this hyperchaotic system can produce various coexisting hyperchaotic attractors with different topological structures. Moreover, different number of scrolls and different topological attractors can be obtained by varying the initial conditions of this system without changing the system parameters. The Lyapunov exponents, bifurcation diagrams and basins of attraction are given to analyze the dynamical characteristics of the multi-scroll hyperchaotic system. Besides, the FPGA-based digital implementation of the memristor-based multi-scroll hyperchaotic system is carried out. The experimental results of the FPGA-based digital circuit are displayed on the oscilloscope.

AbstractThe key exchange mechanism in this paper is built utilizing neural network coordination and a hyperchaotic (or chaotic) nonlinear dynamic complex system. This approach is used to send and receive sensitive data between Internet-of-Things (IoT) nodes across a public network. Using phishing, Man-In-The-Middle (MITM), or spoofing attacks, an attacker can easily target sensitive information during the exchange process. Furthermore, minimal research has been made on the exchange of input seed values for creating identical input at both ends of neural networks. The proposed method uses a 5D hyperchaotic or chaotic nonlinear complex structure to ensure the sharing of input seed value across two neural networks, resulting in the identical input on both ends. This study discusses two ways for sharing seed values for neural coordination. The first is a chaotic system with all real variables, whereas the second is a hyperchaotic system with at least one complex variable. Each neural network has its own random weight vector, and the outputs are exchanged. It achieves full coordination in some stages by altering the neuronal weights according to the mutual learning law. The coordinated weights are utilized as a key after the neural coordination technique. The network’s core structure is made up of triple concealed layers. So, determining the inner configuration will be tough for the intruder. The efficiency of the suggested model is validated by simulations, and the findings reveal that the suggested strategy outperforms current equivalent techniques.

In this study, a novel 7D hyperchaotic model is constructed from the 6D Lorenz model via the nonlinear feedback control technique. The proposed model has an only unstable origin point. Thus, it is categorized as a model with self-excited attractors. And it has seven equations which include 19 terms, four of which are quadratic nonlinearities. Various important features of the novel model are analyzed, including equilibria points, stability, and Lyapunov exponents. The numerical simulation shows that the new class exhibits dynamical behaviors such as chaotic and hyperchaotic. This paper also presents the hybrid synchronization for a novel model via Lyapunov stability theory.

In this paper, a hyperchaotic circuit consisting of a series memristor, meminductor, and memcapacitor is proposed. The dimensionless mathematical model of the system is established by the state equation of the circuit. The stability of equilibrium point of the system is analyzed by using the traditional dynamic analysis method. Then, the dynamical characteristics of the chaotic system with parameters are analyzed in detail. In addition, the system also has some particular phenomena such as attractor coexistence and state transition. Finally, the circuit is realized by DSP, and the result is consistent with that of numerical simulation. This proves the accuracy of the theoretical analysis. Numerical simulation result shows which hyperchaotic system has very abundant dynamical characteristics.

Compression and encryption of images are emerging as recent topics in the area of research to improve the performance of data security. A joint lossless image compression and encryption algorithm based on Integer Wavelet Transform (IWT) and the Hybrid Hyperchaotic system is proposed to enhance the security of data transmission. Initially, IWT is used to compress the digital images and then the encryption is accomplished using the Hybrid Hyperchaotic system. A Hybrid Hyperchaotic system; Fractional Order Hyperchaotic Cellular Neural Network (FOHCNN) and Fractional Order Four-Dimensional Modified Chua’s Circuit (FOFDMCC) is used to generate the pseudorandom sequences. The pixel substitution and scrambling are realized simultaneously using Global Bit Scrambling (GBS) that improves the cipher unpredictability and efficiency. In this study, Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) sequence is adopted instead of a binary operation, which provides high resistance to the cipher image against crop attack and salt-and-pepper noise. It was observed from the simulation outcome that the proposed Hybrid Hyperchaotic system with IWT demonstrated more effective performance in image compression and encryption compared with the existing models in terms of parameters such as unified averaged changed intensity, a number of changing pixels rate, and correlation coefficient.
