Designing an efficient, reliable, and stable algorithm for underwater acoustic wireless sensor networks (UA-WSNs) needs immense attention. It is due to their notable and distinctive challenges. To address the difficulties and challenges, the article introduces two algorithms: the multilayer sink (MuLSi) algorithm and its reliable version MuLSi-Co using the cooperation technique. The first algorithm proposes a multilayered network structure instead of a solid single structure and sinks placement at the optimal position, which reduces multiple hops communication. Moreover, the best forwarder selection amongst the nodes based on nodes’ closeness to the sink is a good choice. As a result, it makes the network perform better. Unlike the traditional algorithms, the proposed scheme does not need location information about nodes. However, the MuLSi algorithm does not fulfill the requirement of reliable operation due to a single link. Therefore, the MuLSi-Co algorithm utilizes nodes’collaborative behavior for reliable information. In cooperation, the receiver has multiple copies of the same data. Then, it combines these packets for the purpose of correct data reception. The data forwarding by the relay without any latency eliminates the synchronization problem. Moreover, the overhearing of the data gets rid of duplicate transmissions. The proposed schemes are superior in energy cost and reliable exchanging of data and have more alive and less dead nodes.

This research paper deals with the passivity and synchronization problem of fractional-order memristor-based competitive neural networks (FOMBCNNs) for the first time. Since the FOMBCNNs’ parameters are state-dependent, FOMBCNNs may exhibit unexpected parameter mismatch when different initial conditions are chosen. Therefore, the conventional robust control scheme cannot guarantee the synchronization of FOMBCNNs. Under the framework of the Filippov solution, the drive and response FOMBCNNs are first transformed into systems with interval parameters. Then, the new sufficient criteria are obtained by linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) to ensure the passivity in finite-time criteria for FOMBCNNs with mismatched switching jumps. Further, a feedback control law is designed to ensure the finite-time synchronization of FOMBCNNs. Finally, three numerical cases are given to illustrate the usefulness of our passivity and synchronization results.

Aiming at the problems of poor control effect and poor stability of the mixed pulse system with the traditional method, this paper introduces the M-matrix to establish the pulse delay differential indefinite formula and realize stability control of the mixed pulse system. The synchronization problem of mixed-pulse systems in complex networks is analyzed using M matrix. The local coupling strength of the impulsive system is controlled according to the adaptive method. A class of Multi-Lyapunov functions is constructed for stability control of hybrid impulsive systems. The proposed method is proved to have better control effect through experiments.

<p>In this paper, we study the exponential synchronization problem of a class of delayed memristive neural networks(MNNs). Firstly, a intermittent control scheme is designed to solve the parameter mismatch problem of MNNs. A discontinuous controller with two tunable scalars is designed, and the upper limit of control gain can be adjusted flexibly. Secondly, an augmented Lyaponov-Krasovskii functional(LKF) is proposed, and vector information of N-order canonical Bessel-Legendre(B-L) inequalities is introduced. LKF method is used to obtain the stability criterion to ensure exponential synchronization of the system. The conservatism of the result decreases with the increase of the order of the B-L inequality. Finally, the effectiveness of the main results is verified by two simulation examples.</p>

This paper explores the realization of a predefined-time synchronization problem for coupled memristive neural networks with multi-links (MCMNN) via nonlinear control. Several effective conditions are obtained to achieve the predefined-time synchronization of MCMNN based on the controller and Lyapunov function. Moreover, the settling time can be tunable based on a parameter designed by the controller, which is more flexible than fixed-time synchronization. Then based on the predefined-time stability criterion and the tunable settling time, we propose a secure communication scheme. This scheme can determine security of communication in the aspect of encrypting the plaintext signal with the participation of multi-links topology and coupled form. Meanwhile, the plaintext signals can be recovered well according to the given new predefined-time stability theorem. Finally, numerical simulations are given to verify the effectiveness of the obtained theoretical results and the feasibility of the secure communication scheme.

Abstract In this paper, the fixed-time bipartite synchronization problem for coupled delayed neural networks with signed graphs is discussed. Different from traditional neural networks, the interactions between nodes of delayed neural networks can be either collaborative or antagonistic. Furthermore, compared with the initial-condition based finite-time synchronization, the settling time is bounded by a constant within fixedtime regardless of the initial condition. It is worth noting that the fixed-time stable network for bipartite synchronization in this paper achieves more faster convergence than most existing publications. By applying constructing comparison system method, Lyapunov stability theory and inequality techniques, some sufficient criteria for fixed-time bipartite synchronization are obtained. Finally, two numerical examples are granted to display the performance of the obtained results.

In this paper, a new four-dimensional hyperchaotic system with an exponential term is presented. The basic dynamical properties and chaotic behavior of the new attractor are analyzed. It can be shown that this system possesses either a line of equilibria or a single one. The existence of hyperchaos is confirmed by its Lyapunov exponents. Moreover, the synchronization problem for the hyperchaotic system is studied. Based on the Lyapunov stability theory, an adaptive control law with two inputs is proposed to achieve the global synchronization. Numerical simulations are given to validate the correctness of the proposed control law.

Fixed-time synchronization problem for delayed dynamical complex networks is explored in this paper. Compared with some correspondingly existed results, a few new results are obtained to guarantee fixed-time synchronization of delayed dynamical networks model. Moreover, by designing adaptive controller and discontinuous feedback controller, fixed-time synchronization can be realized through regulating the main control parameter. Additionally, a new theorem for fixed-time synchronization is used to reduce the conservatism of the existing work in terms of conditions and the estimate of synchronization time. In particular, we obtain some fixed-time synchronization criteria for a type of coupled delayed neural networks. Finally, the analysis and comparison of the proposed controllers are given to demonstrate the validness of the derived results from one numerical example.

The Selkov system, which is typically employed to model glycolysis phenomena, unveils some rich dynamics and some other complex formations in biochemical reactions. In the present work, the synchronization problem of the glycolysis reaction-diffusion model is handled and examined. In addition, a novel convenient control law is designed in a linear form and, on the other hand, the stability of the associated error system is demonstrated through utilizing a suitable Lyapunov function. To illustrate the applicability of the proposed schemes, several numerical simulations are performed in one- and two-spatial dimensions.

In this paper synchronization problem for two different fractional-order chaotic systems has been investigated. Based on fractional calculus, optimality conditions for this synchronization have been achieved. Synchronization Time and control signals are two factors that are optimized. After that, the synchronization method is applied in secure communication. Finally using the simulation example, the performance of the proposed method for synchronization and chaotic masking is shown.
