Abstract Synergism was observed in the extraction of gold(III) from aqueous hydrochloric acid media by mixtures of Adogen-464 neutral donors. Synergistic coefficients and adduct equilibrium constants were calculated from distribution data and correlated with the relative donor abilities of the added bases.
