Pleomorphic adenoma, though essentially benign can undergo malignant transformation. This is the case report of a 72 year old male with a giant tumor of parotid gland measuring 20.0X18.0X16.5cm & weighing 7 kg. Pleomorphic adenoma can rarely transform into carcinoma ex pleomorphic adenoma over time as it enlarges; moreover, histologically, squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is exceedingly rare. Patient developed the tumor for a period over 20 years & it caused withdrawal from social contact. The tumor gradually enlarged without any pain or other complication except for rapid growth & pain a year before. Postoperative facial function and local control of tumor was achieved. Despite Of having a cancer with significant extracapsular invasion, our patient did not present any metastatic focus. Besides morphological patterns, authors need to categorize invasive carcinoma ex pleomorphic adenoma according to its potentiality to metastasize. Various parameters which can predict malignant transformation in pleomorphic adenoma is also yet to be explored.J MEDICINE July 2015; 16 (2) : 118-121

We report the case of a 57-year-old woman who presented with local invasion of the anal canal by mucinous adenocarcinoma, the malignant transformation of a long-term preexisting retrorectal tailgut cyst. This progression is infrequent and justifies preemptive surgical treatment of retrorectal cysts.

Secondary chondrosarcomas according to malignant transformations of the solitary enchondromas were extremely rare in the hand. The aim of this study is to present a case of a 43-year-old male having rare malignant transformation of the solitary enchondroma treated with total excision and replacement with iliac bone graft.

Mammary mixed tumours are the most frequent neoplasias in female dogs. In humans, mixed tumours are frequently found in the salivary glands and are known as pleomorphic adenomas. In addition to their histomorphologic similarities, mixed tumours and pleomorphic adenomas have the potential to become malignant and give rise to carcinomas in mixed tumours and carcinomas ex-pleomorphic adenoma, respectively. The factors associated with malignant transformation are still poorly known in the case of canine mixed tumours. However, this form of neoplasia tends to be associated with a better prognosis than other malignant histological types. This paper discusses the main features associated with female canine mammary mixed tumours.
