For a Banach spaceXand a measure space(Ω,Σ), letM(Ω,X)be the space of allX-valued countably additive measures on(Ω,Σ)of bounded variation, with the total variation norm. In this paper we give a characterization of weakly precompact subsets ofM(Ω,X).

In 1978, the domain of the Nörlund matrix on the classical sequence spaces lp and l∞ was introduced by Wang, where 1 ≤ p < ∞. Tuğ and Başar studied the matrix domain of Nörlund mean on the sequence spaces f0 and f in 2016. Additionally, Tuğ defined and investigated a new sequence space as the domain of the Nörlund matrix on the space of bounded variation sequences in 2017. In this article, we defined new space and and examined the domain of the Nörlund mean on the bs and cs, which are bounded and convergent series, respectively. We also examined their inclusion relations. We defined the norms over them and investigated whether these new spaces provide conditions of Banach space. Finally, we determined their α, β, γduals, and characterized their matrix transformations on this space and into this space.

AbstractEvery weakly compact composition operator between weighted Banach spaces of analytic functions with weighted sup-norms is compact. Lower and upper estimates of the essential norm of continuous composition operators are obtained. The norms of the point evaluation functionals on the Banach space are also estimated, thus permitting to get new characterizations of compact composition operators between these spaces.

AbstractA submarkovian C0 semigroup (Tt)t∈ℝ+ acting on the scale of complex-valued functions Lp(X,ℂ) extends to a semigroup of operators on the scale of vector-valued function spaces Lp(X,E), when E is a Banach space. It is known that, if f∈Lp(X,ℂ), where 1<p<∞, then Ttf→f pointwise almost everywhere. We show that the same holds when f∈Lp(X,E) .

Let μ be a vector measure (countably additive set function with values in a Banach space) on a field. If μ is of bounded variation, it extends to a vector measure on the generated σ-field (2; 5; 8). Arsene and Strătilă (1) have obtained a result, which when specialized somewhat in form and context, reads as follows: “A vector measure on a field, majorized in norm by a positive, finite, subadditive increasing set function defined on the generated σ-field, extends to a vector measure on the generated σ-field”.

Representation theorems for additive functional have been obtained in [2, 4; 6-8; 10-13]. Our aim in this paper is to study the representation of additive operators.Let S be a compact Hausdorff space and let C(S) be the space of real-valued continuous functions defined on S. Let X be an arbitrary Banach space and let T be an additive operator (see § 2) mapping C(S) into X. We will show (see Lemma 3.4) that additive operators may be represented in terms of a family of “measures” {μh} which take their values in X**. If X is weakly sequentially complete, then {μh} can be shown to take their values in X and are vector-valued measures (i.e., countably additive in the norm) (see Lemma 3.7). And, if X* is separable in the weak-* topology, T may be represented in terms of a kernel representation satisfying the Carathéordory conditions (see [9; 11; §4]):

AbstractLet X be a complex Banach space and let Bp(X) denote the vector-valued Bergman space on the unit disc for 1 ≤ p < ∞. A sequence (Tn)n of bounded operators between two Banach spaces X and Y defines a multiplier between Bp(X) and Bq(Y) (resp. Bp(X) and lq(Y)) if for any function we have that belongs to Bq(Y) (resp. (Tn(xn))n ∈ lq(Y)). Several results on these multipliers are obtained, some of them depending upon the Fourier or Rademacher type of the spaces X and Y. New properties defined by the vector-valued version of certain inequalities for Taylor coefficients of functions in Bp(X) are introduced.

We study the equivalence between the weak and strong laws of large numbers for arrays of row-wise independent random elements with values in a Banach spaceℬ. The conditions under which this equivalence holds are of the Chung or Chung-Teicher types. These conditions are expressed in terms of convergence of specific series ando(1)requirements on specific weighted row-wise sums. Moreover, there are not any conditions assumed on the geometry of the underlying Banach space.
