Abstract This is a case of an infant with unilateral discontinuous right pulmonary artery. Cardiac catheterisation with pulmonary wedge injection diagnosed the anomaly and aided in surgical planning. The patient underwent semi-autologous surgical repair utilising an autologous main pulmonary artery flap. One month following discharge, he underwent successful balloon dilation of the residual stenosis and was discharged the same day.

: Hereby, the case of an 8-month-old girl diagnosed with partial anomalous left pulmonary artery (PLPA) is presented. Echocardiography and computed tomography (CT) examination demonstrated that the anomalous artery originated from the right pulmonary artery supplying the left upper lobe. PLPA is sometimes associated with tracheobronchial anomaly and congenital cardiovascular defects. A relationship between PLPA and Kabuki syndrome has also been suggested. Echocardiography and CT angiography can be used as accurate tools for identifying an anomalous left pulmonary artery and adjacent abnormal anatomic structures.

Pulmonary Artery Sling (PAS) is a rare congenital heart disease due to abnormal origin of Left Pulmonary Artery (LPA) from the Right Pulmonary Artery (RPA), then encircling the distal part of the trachea. The treatment is a surgical repair consisting of reimplantation of the LPA on the main pulmonary artery over cardiopulmonary bypass. The authors report a clinical case of PAS in a 5.5 years old boy diagnosed in Senegal then successfully operated in France.Cardiovasc. j. 2017; 10(1): 94-96
