Guna meningkatkan nilai ekonomi dari konsentrat zirkon lokal dari Pulau Bangka, <em>Cermet</em> Ni-YSZ disintesis dari zirkonia yang sebelumnya telah disintesis dari konsentrat zirkon lokal. <em>Cermet</em> Ni-YSZ disintesis dengan menggunakan metode <em>solid state reaction</em>. Analisis XRD yang dilengkapi dengan <em>refinement Le Bail</em> telah dilakukan untuk menganalisis struktur kristal dan parameter sel dari material. YSZ dipreparasi dengan melakukan doping 8% mol <em>yttrium oxide</em> kedalam zirkonia dan kemudian disinter pada suhu 1250 <sup>o</sup>C selama 3 jam. ada penambahan doping 8% mol yttria memungkikan transfomasi fasa dari zirkonia dari tetragonal menjadi struktur kubik. Sementara itu, cermet Ni-YSZ memiliki fasa kristalin, Ni dengan struktur kubik dan YSZ dengan struktur kubik. analisis sem dari material-material tesebut  menunjukan bahwa adanya penambahan Ni kedalam YSZ memungkinan morfologi menjadi lebih kasar dengan ukuran butir besar yang disebabkan adanya agglomerasi Ni terhadap YSZ. cermet Ni-YSZ memiliki konduktivitas tertinggi pada komposisi Ni:YSZ 20:80.

Doping perovskite structure ceramics constitute an important type of solid oxides fuel cell (SOFC) cathode materials. In this study, BaCe1-xTaxO3+δ powders were prepared by solid state reaction at 1500oC for 4h. BaCe1-xTaxO3+δ ceramics were pressureless sintered at 1600oC for 5h. The results indicated that the relative density of BaCe1-xTaxO3+δ ceramics reached the range of 84.15 - 90.88%. At the frequency of 1Hz, the conductivity of BaCe0.65Ta0.35O3+δ ceramic samples varied greatly, when the testing temperature rose from room temperature to 900oC in increments of 100oC. The highest conductivity was obtained at 600oC with the value of 6.74×10-5 S/cm.

The electrode properties of Ba0.5Sr0.5CoyFe1-yO3-δ {BSCF(5/5/10y/10(1-y))} on a Ce0.8Sm0.2O1.9 electrolyte were investigated. BSCF powders were synthesized by a solid-state reaction. The electronic conductivities of BSCFs increased with increasing Co content and BSCF(5/5/8/2) showed the highest conductivity of 38 S cm-1 at 600oC. The electrode resistance was measured on symmetric cells, BSCF/Ce0.8Sm0.2O1.9/BSCF, over the temperature range from 600oC to 800oC. The electrode resistances decreased with increasing Co content and BSCF(5/5/8/2) showed the lowest electrode resistance in the whole temperature range, having an electrode resistance of 0.62 cm2 at 600oC.
