A naphthalimide based Fe3+ selective fluorescence ‘turn-on’ probe that operates based on a PET mechanism has been synthesized, and its application in the detection of Fe3+ ions in aqueous samples and in live cells is explored.
We report a fluorescence turn-on ratiometric sensor for the detection of ATP which operates by the dissociation of Thioflavin-T-sulphated-β-cyclodextrin supramolecular assembly by Zn2+ followed by ATP induced re-association of the same.
