Multi-component hybrids based on zeolite L/A are assembled by an inside–outside double modification route for ZA/L with lanthanide complexes. Some of them display white or near-white light emission. Furthermore, selected above-mentioned hybrids are incorporated into polymer to prepare the luminescent films.

A series of core–shell structure materials based on Ln-dpa complex and silica are prepared and the complex coating are generated on the surface of silica pheres successfully. The SiO2@Ln-dpa exhibits excellent luminescence properties. Furthermore, SiO2@Eu-dpa possesses highly selective and sensitive for acetone and Cu2+.

Three tricolor luminous materials based on novel transparent hybrid films of polymer–lanthanide–zeolite A were assembled. The white light emission from the tricolor luminous materials can be tuned easily by adjusting the different concentrations of the doped ions and the excitation wavelength.

One new lead chlorine cluster assembled 1D non-perovskite halide of [DTHPE]2Pb3Cl10 was synthesized which displays strong broadband bluish white light emission with a high photoluminescence quantum efficiency of 19.45% exceeding those of previously reported 2D lead perovskites.
