Preliminary tests were performed on short glass fibre reinforced polypropylene in four-point bending and in pure tension, adopting a stress ratio R=0.5 and R=0.1, respectively. The flexural fatigue data were used to calculate the constants appearing in a previous model, aiming to predict the classical S-N curve. Then, theory was utilised to predict the tension fatigue response of the material. A quite good correlation was found between theoretical estimates and experimental results.
