The behaviour of magnetic field in anisotropic Bianchi type I cosmological model for bulk viscous distribution is investigated. The distribution consists of an electrically neutral viscous fluid with an infinite electrical conductivity. It is assumed that the component [Formula: see text] of shear tensor [Formula: see text] is proportional to expansion (θ) and the coefficient of bulk viscosity is assumed to be a power function of mass density. Some physical and geometrical aspects of the models are also discussed in presence and also in absence of the magnetic field.

Bianchi type I magnetized cosmological models in the presence of a bulk viscous fluid are investigated. The source of the magnetic field is due to an electric current produced along the x-axis. The distribution consists of an electrically neutral viscous fluid with an infinite electrical conductivity. The coefficient of bulk viscosity is assumed to be a power function of mass density. The cosmological constant Λ is found to be positive and is a decreasing function of time which is supported by results from recent supernovae observations. The behaviour of the models in the presence and the absence of magnetic field are also discussed.

We studied the LRS Bianchi type I cosmological models with perfect fluid, quintessence and standard Chaplygin gas dark energy in the presence as well as in the absence of magnetic field [Formula: see text], in bimetric theory of gravitation. It is realized that the magnetic field controlled the whole behavior of the models. In the absence of magnetic field, these models exists and the model never exists in the presence of magnetic field. The geometry of quintessence model for [Formula: see text] and standard Chaplygin gas model coincide and their physical behavior are same in the absence of magnetic field. Some geometrical and physical properties of each of the model are explored. The model have also been studied in regard with the singularities and it is pointed out that the model is singular in the presence of magnetic field and nonsingular in the absence of magnetic field.

We investigate Bianchi type I cosmological models containing a perfect fluid and with an incident magnetic field directed along the x axis. The solutions obtained represent an expansion scalar B bearing a constant ratio to the anisotropy in the direction of a space-like unit vector At.
