Abstract Mathematical modeling of a part of a mine plasma electric furnace for waste gasification is presented. In model calculations, the study of the effect of additional resistive heating as an in-furnace process of drying waste was carried out. In the course of modeling, the electrical resistance of the waste at natural moisture was taken into account. A study was carried out to identify the uniform release of energy inside the waste batch in the drying zone with different connections of the electrodes and the type of current.

It is of great importance to innocuity, minimization and reutilization of manganese slag generated in manganese product by electric furnace process. In the paper, ordinary Portland cement was replaced partly by manganese slag to then evaluate manganese slag’ effect on mechanical performances of them. The experimental results obtained show that ordinary Portland cement added less than 30% by manganese slag was improved in mechanical performances and the cement concrete added less than 30% by manganese slag was not changed significantly. To lower economic cost and achieve enhanced mechanical performances, manganese slag can be substituted partly to cement concrete.

Abstract The necessity of monitoring the technical condition of the rolling supports of electric machines has been substantiated. It is proposed to use the electrical resistance of the bearing as an indicator of the technical condition the rolling support. The results of mathematical modeling of electrical resistance in the form of a function of resistance from factors of the internal environment of the bearing and modes of its assembly and operation in a rolling bearing are presented. An electroresistive method for monitoring the technical state the rolling support is proposed, which differs from the known methods by original algorithms for collecting information about the state of bearing parts, experimental studies have been carried out to confirm the efficiency of this method.
