CT coronary angiography consists of a variable number of discrete image acquisitions, several of which are for set-up purposes only (to define scan range, level of the carina, contrast timing, etc.). This chapter covers a step-by-step outline of a routine scan protocol, methods for optimizing scan timings, and then individual protocols suitable for cardiovascular CT specifically. These include coronary artery calcium scoring, CT coronary angiography, and gated CT pulmonary angiograms and venography.
