Going round to the terrace, I found three mahogany-colored Indians, in white linen frocks and trowsers, looking up at the house. The Indians, as I saw on looking closer, had small hand-drums slung in front of them. Behind them stood a little, delicate-looking, light-haired, English...

This time the fiction is founded upon facts' stated Wilkie Collins in his Preface to Man and Wife (1870). Many Victorian writers responded to contemporary debates on the rights and the legal status of women, and here Collins questions the deeply inequitable marriage laws of his day. Man and Wife examines the plight of a woman who, promised marriage by one man, comes to believe that she may inadvertently have gone through a form of marriage with his friend, as recognized by the archaic laws of Scotland and Ireland. From this starting-point Collins develops a radical critique of the values and conventions of Victorian society. Collins had already developed a reputation as the master of the 'sensation novel', and Man and Wife is as fast moving and unpredictable as The Moonstone and The Woman in White. During the novel the atmosphere grows increasingly sinister as the setting moves from a country house to a London suburb and a world of confinement, plotting, and murder.

The seventh season of excavation at Can Hasan began on 9th September and stopped on 28th October; a further week was spent working on the finds and on the site. Site supervisors were Bay Altan Atılgan, and Messrs. S. W. Helms, R. Howell, and J. N. Postgate. In the House the work was undertaken by Bayan Behin Aksoy, Bayan Ülge Göker, Miss Carolyn Prater, Mrs. Cressida Ridley and Miss Monika van der Zwann. Bay Bedri Yalman represented the Turkish Government for a short period until called away to military service; his place was taken by Bay Cengiz Karadağ.A new method of sieving was introduced this year at the suggestion of Mr. Sebastian Payne. Instead of small hand sieves, “shakers”, built under Mr. Payne's supervision, were used. Basically this type of “shaker” is three removable trays with mesh of differing size (10 mm., 5 mm., 1 mm.) set on a sprung metal framework. It was also found more practicable with soils containing a lot of grain to “wash out” the grain from the soil remaining in the last tray after the soil had received preliminary hand-searching.

Summary A loss of functional motor axons in the median and ulnar nerves occurred in half of thirty-three patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Weakness of small hand muscles may predispose to the development of ulnar deviation of the fingers in patients with joint disease at the radio-ulnar and metacarpophalangeal joints. There is no evidence that spasm of small hand muscles is a significant cause of ulnar deviation of the fingers in rheumatoid arthritis. Ulnar deviation of the fingers in rheumatoid arthritis is not due to selective impairment of the ulnar nerve or the deep palmar branch of the ulnar nerve even though ulnar deviation of the fingers can occur in association with such lesions and in the absence of joint disease.

After surveying the various types of hot rolling mill units for heavy ingots and their evolution, the author selects for description certain examples of progressive design from his own recent experience. These include an adaptation of modern heavy mill manipulation to an existing blooming mill, incorporating fabricated steel structures in place of steel castings for mill tables, small hand-worked mills for the accurate finish of high-class steels in small bar sizes, a modern high-production four-strand continuous wire rod mill plant, and two examples of development in rolling mill auxiliaries. The question of roll neck bearings is discussed and a special bronze and white-metal combination roll neck bearing is described.

At the end of 2019, coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak is caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV2). Worldwide researchers and physician try to explore the mechanisms of damage induced by virus, they focus on the short-term and long-term immune-mediated consequences induced by the virus infection. Every day discover a new pathological condition induced by virus and new symptoms and disease may occur after recovery from disease. Our case report is 41 years old, Indian lady who presented to our primary health care centre complaining of multiple small hand joints pain, both elbows and knees pain with swelling of them and prolonged morning stiffness, diagnosed seropositive rheumatoid arthritis (RA) (arthritis, positive rheumatoid factor (RF), and X-ray changes) after 1 month recovery from COVID-19 infection. She did not have any joint pain and she had negative RF before COVID-19 infection with no family history of RA.

Smartphone plays a key role in integrating the entire world into a small hand. This feature made these smartphones as another human organ of many people. One of the main feature in every smart phone is GPS which used to travel new places, to locate and find optimized way to reach their destination. As we aware GPS is an outdoor application, GPS location is not accurate in indoor and small scale areas. This leads to an advanced research to improve the accuracy in GPS positing for the benefit of indoor applications. This research proposes a new iBeacons based Improved Indoor Positioning System for indoor positing application using Bluetooth low energy (BLE) beacons. This model helps the mobile application to find the exact location at micro-level scale. The objective of this research work is to design a potable indoor positing system (IPS) for indoor applications with at least 100m accuracy with in the inbuilt energy resource limitations. The proposed model has been built and verified in all the aspects. The location accuracy and energy efficiency of the proposed model is compared and found better than the existing models
