Recently spin-tensor–momentum coupling (STMC) has been proposed to realize in the Bose–Einstein condensate (BEC). Here, we study the bright soliton in spin-1 three components BEC with STMC. The properties of the bright solitons are discussed by the analytical solutions and numerical solutions. In addition, we also study its dynamic evolution and discover the spontaneous motion, which is different from the spin-orbit-coupled solitons.

Recent experimental and theoretical advances in the creation and description of bright matter wave solitons are reviewed. Several aspects are taken into account, including the physics of soliton train formation as the nonlinear Fresnel diffraction, soliton-soliton interactions, and propagation in the presence of inhomogeneities. The generation of stable bright solitons by means of Feshbach resonance techniques is also discussed.

Considering a periodically oscillating harmonic potential, we explored the dynamic properties of bright solitons in a Bose-Einstein condensate by using Darboux transformation. It is found that the soliton movement exhibits a nonperiodic oscillation under a slow oscillating potential, while it is hardly affected under a fast oscillating potential. Furthermore, the head-on and/or ‘chase’ collisions of two solitons have been obtained, which could be controlled by the oscillation frequency of the potential.
