In this paper, we give a further discussion of short-distance teleportation. We propose bidirectional, rotation and cyclic rotation teleportation schemes for short-distance participants, respectively. In our bidirectional transmission scheme, the quantum channel is still an EPR pair and an auxiliary qubit in the ground state [Formula: see text], and two participants can transmit an unknown single-qubit state to each other. In the rotation and cyclic rotation schemes, bidirectional transmission is performed between two adjacent participants in turn. The unknown state qubits of the participants collapse into the ground state after one bidirectional transmission, and can be used as auxiliary qubits in subsequent bidirectional transmission. After a complete state rotation, each participant has held the unknown state of the other participants, and the last one owned by the participant is still the original unknown state. Although the schemes we proposed are applicable to a small range of transmission, they have certain advantages in saving quantum resources.

The radioisotope batteries have drawn extensive attention due to the high energy density. Nowadays, the radioisotope thermophotovoltaic systems are one of the most promising radioisotope batteries. In this work, the crystal emitter design and the associated performance of the radioisotope thermophotovoltaic generators are investigated. First, the design of photonic crystal emitter together with the adoptions of both the multi-layer insulation and supporting materials are discussed. In order to optimize the system efficiency, the effects of the area of emitters are mainly investigated. We have analyzed the efficiency of system using GaSb cells and Si cells, respectively. With Si cells, the system efficiency can computationally reach about [Formula: see text] with an output power of 7 W. When GaSb cells are employed, the system performance is estimated to an efficiency of [Formula: see text] with 61.6 W output.

New phenomenological models of recrystallization of a polycrystalline material in two regimes are proposed taking into account the finite width of grain boundaries. The solutions are obtained in an analytical form for the initial-boundary value problems formulated. They describe the distributions of the concentration of impurities diffusing from the surface coating, both in the grain boundary and in the grain itself in the recrystallized region. The speed of the recrystallization front movement is indicated, which agrees with the types of the corresponding kinetic dependences observed in experiments.

In this paper, the (3+1)-dimensional constant coefficient of Date–Jimbo–Kashiwara–Miwa (CCDJKM) equation is studied. All of the vector fields, infinitesimal generators, Lie symmetry reductions and different similarity reduction solutions are constructed. Due to the arbitrary functions in the infinitesimal generators, the (3+1)-dimensional CCDJKM equation can further be reduced to many (2+1)-dimensional partial differential equations. The explicit solutions of the similarity reduction equations, which include the quasi-periodic wave solution, the interaction solution between the periodic wave and a kink soliton and the trigonometric function solutions, are constructed with proper arbitrary function selection, and these new exact solutions are given out analytically and graphically.

Previous work has shown that performance and internal flow characteristics of a centrifugal pump can be significantly improved with grooved volute casing (GVC). However, it has been found that the selection of the design parameters of the groove structure also has a direct impact on the performance output, internal flow pressure pulsation and erosion wear characteristics of the overflow components of centrifugal pump, so it is necessary to further analyze the design rules of the groove structure parameters. In this study, we first investigated the influence of the number of grooves on the head, efficiency and unsteady pressure pulsation characteristics of the internal flow field of the centrifugal pump, and on this basis, the correlation between different particle parameters and the erosion wear of key overflow components under the conditions of solid–liquid two-phase flow were also studied, and the erosion wear characteristics of the inner wall of the volute casing of centrifugal pump with GVC and original volute casing (OVC) structures were compared. This research leads to the conclusion that when the number of grooves is 3, the groove structure has the least influence on the performance of the centrifugal pump, and the overall change of the performance curve is more stable. Additionally, the pressure pulsation at each monitoring point of the GVC under the same flow condition is smaller, and when the number of grooves increases, the pressure pulsation amplitude also decreases. When the number of grooves is 3, the GVC shows a more significant flow improvement effect under all flow conditions. Based on the improvement of the groove structure on the flow stability, the particle motion behavior can be affected at the same time, so that the pump with GVC can mitigate the erosion wear of the inner wall of the volute casing under the solid–liquid two-phase flow conditions, which improves the critical performance and service life of the key overflow components of the pump.

In this paper, a novel phoxonic crystal (PxC) structure composed of silicon, with optimal dual phononic band gap (PNBG) and photonic band gap (PTBG), is presented. Using the finite element analysis method, both the transmission characteristics and dispersion relation of PNBG and PTBG are calculated, and the existence of dual BGs is demonstrated by the means of the analysis of transmission for the PxC structure. The influences of structural parameters on the dual forbidden band characteristics are further explored, the sensitive structure parameters can be determined: the width of elastic beams, the length of square silicon, and the length of square hole. Using the orthogonal test, 25 experimental runs based on 3-factor and 5-level experiment are performed to finish the numerical experimental design and analysis. Four functional relationships can be acquired between the three sensitive parameters and dual BGs. Finally, the unified objective function method is employed to perform the construction of the single objective optimization model for the purpose of obtaining the optimal dual BGs and the corresponding optimal parameter combinations of the PxC structure. Such scheme can be used as the potential optimization way, which may find wide application in the development and design of PxCs.

Future quantum communication networks envisaged on a global scale will include various networks interlinked via optical fiber and free space channels. In recent years, quantum key distribution (QKD) protocol based on optical fiber has been extensively studied. Twin-field QKD (TF-QKD) may enable 550 km QKD using standard optical fiber without quantum repeaters. However, the performance of TF-QKD in free-space channel is still unclear. In this paper, a free-space channel model is proposed with specific turbulence characterization discussed. Here, the key rate of TF-QKD under multiple scenarios considering the variation of turbulence and different link configuration is investigated. Simulation results demonstrate that the performance of free-space TF-QKD is related to link configuration and turbulence motion which is determined by surface feature, time and height. Furthermore, TF-QKD protocol is a potential scheme for the free-space quantum communication.

Over the past few decades, the study of epidemic propagation has caught widespread attention from many areas. The field of graphs contains a wide body of research, yet only a few studies explore epidemic propagation’s dynamics in “signed” networks. Motivated by this problem, in this paper we propose a new epidemic propagation model for signed networks, denoted as S-SIS. To explain our analysis, we utilized the mean field theory to demonstrate the theoretical results. When we compare epidemic propagation through negative links to those only having positive links, we find that a higher proportion of infected nodes actually spreads at a relatively small infection rate. It is also found that when the infection rate is higher than a certain value, the overall spreading in a signed network begins showing signs of suppression. Finally, in order to verify our findings, we apply the S-SIS model on Erdös–Rényi random network and scale-free network, and the simulation results is well consist with the theoretical analysis.

This paper presents a surface plasmon interference lithography technique based on the complementary grating, which comprises silicon gratings and complementary aluminum grating masks, for fabricating subwavelength structures. In this theoretical study, the optimal parameters of the complementary grating structure were determined using the reflectance spectrum. The optical field distributions of one- and two-dimensional subwavelength structures were obtained using the finite-difference time-domain method and rotation-related formulas. The results of numerical evaluations show that a one-dimensional periodic structure with a half-pitch resolution of 60.5 nm (approximately [Formula: see text]/6.7) can be fabricated. In addition, subwavelength structures can be diversified using different rotation methods to expose the photolithography samples, such as square dot arrays and quasi-hexagonal closely packed structures. The proposed method combines surface plasmon interference with sample rotation, thereby enabling fabrication of abundant subwavelength structures.
