In the title compound, C21H17N5O3S3·C3H7NO, the toluenesulfonamide ring and the combined ring system involving the pyridone and benzothiazole rings subtend an interplanar angle of 39.86 (4)°. The pyridone and benzothiazyl rings are linked by the intramolecular hydrogen bond N—Hamine...Nthiazole. The DMF O atom accepts two classical hydrogen bonds. The molecules are linked by hydrogen bonds and an S...O contact to form layers parallel to thebcplane.

The title compound, C10H11N3O3S, (I), crystallizes as the NH tautomer. The two rings subtend an interplanar angle of 72.54 (4)°. An intramolecular hydrogen bond is formed from the NH2group to a sulfonyl O atom. The molecular packing involves layers of molecules parallel to thebcplane atx≃ 0, 1etc., with two classical linear hydrogen bonds (amino–sulfonyl and pyrazoline–carbonyl N—H...O) and a further interaction (amino–sulfonyl N—H...O) completing a three-centre system with the intramolecular contact. The analogous phenyl derivative, (II) [Elgemeie, Hanfy, Hopf & Jones (1998).Acta Cryst.C54, 136–138], crystallizes with essentially the same unit cell and packing pattern, but with two independent molecules that differ significantly in the orientation of the phenyl groups. The space group isP21/cfor (I) butP21for (II), which is thus a pseudosymmetric counterpart of (I).

In the title compound, C14H13NOS2, the S atom with the methyl group is involved in an intramolecular hydrogen bond with the amido H atom. In the crystal, the sulfanyl H atoms form intermolecular hydrogen bonds with the O atoms, connecting the molecules into zigzag chains along thecaxis. The two aromatic rings exhibit a small interplanar angle of 16.03 (9)°.

The title compound, C18H11F4NO, a Schiff base, has been structurally characterized. One intramolecular hydrogen bond influences the conformation of the molecule. The crystal structure is extended into a one-dimensional chain along the c axis via π–π stacking interactions.

In the crystal, molecules do not form strong intermolecular interactions but the molecules are linked via weak C—H...π interactions, forming chains along [001].

The title compound, C17H18O5, was synthesized by a base-free catalytic Wittig reaction. The molecule consists of a diethyl itaconate unit, which is connectedviathe C=C double bond to a benzofuran moiety. The benzofuran ring system (r.m.s. deviation = 0.007 Å) forms dihedral angles of 79.58 (4) and 12.12 (10)° with the mean planes through thecisandtransethoxycarbonyl groups, respectively. An intramolecular C—H...O hydrogen bond involving the O atom of the benzofuran moiety is observed. In the crystal, molecules are linked into ribbons running parallel to thebaxis by C—H...O hydrogen bonds.

The title compound C25H29BrClNO4, comprises a 3,3,6,6-tetramethyltetrahydroacridine-1,8-dione ring system that carries a hydroxyethyl substituent on the acridine N atom and a 3-bromo-5-chloro-2-hydroxyphenyl ring on the central methine C atom of the dihydropyridine ring. The benzene ring is inclined to the acridine ring system at an angle of 89.84 (6)° and this conformation is stabilized by an intramolecular O—H...O hydrogen bond between the hydroxy substituent on the benzene ring and one of the carbonyl groups of the acridinedione unit. In the crystal, O—H...O, C—H...O and C—H...Br hydrogen bonds combine to stack molecules in interconnected columns propagating along thea-axis direction.

In the title compound, C21H18O4, the C=C bond of the central enone group adopts anEconformation. The dihedral angle formed by the benzene ring and the naphthalene ring system is 6.60 (2)°. The methoxy groups on the benzene ring are essentially coplanar with the ring; the C—C—O—C torsion angles being 1.6 (2) and −177.1 (1)°. The hydroxy group attached to the naphthalene ring is involved in an intramolecular O—H...O hydrogen bond. The relative conformation of the two double bonds in the enone group iss-cisoid. In the crystal, weak C—H...O hydrogen bonds link the molecules into chains propagating along [010].
