In this paper, we focus on the problem of guaranteed cost control for a class of nonlinear systems described by the Takagi-Sugeno (T-S ) fuzzy descriptor model with multiple time delays. A quadratic cost function is used as a guaranteed performance index. The descriptor type of Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional is employed to analyze the asymptotic stability and design the guaranteed cost controller. The sufficient conditions for the existence of the guaranteed cost controller are given in terms of LMIs. At last, an illustrative example is provided to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

This paper deals with the class of uncertain systems with multiple time delays. The stability and stabilizability of this class of systems are considered. Their robustness are also studied when the norm-bounded uncertainties are considered. Linear matrix inequality (LMIs) delay-dependent sufficient conditions for both stability and stabilizability and their robustness are established to check if a system of this class is stable and/or is stabilizable. Some numerical examples are provided to show the usefulness of the proposed results.
