At present, introduction of operating firing field technologies is one of the urgent tasks of the Russian railway transport, as their use can significantly improve operational performance parameters. The factors and conditions of transition to operating firing field control system for operational performance are investigated in this paper. It provides the analysis of the problems that arise during the work of the operating firing field and proposes measures for their elimination. Methods of mathematical and computer modeling using the author’s software product were used. A new approach to multilevel simulation of the work of a transport operating firing field has been developed, which involves the use of the mathematical apparatus of multiphase queuing systems.

Modern road traffic control systems become more complex with each year due to the growing number of cars, demand for more optimized road network designs, and desire to decrease road traffic delays at the intersections during rush hours because of the constantly growing metropolitan area and hence the need of moving farther away across the city. Therefore, a need is very much relevant nowadays for technologies, which can help build more optimal and intelligent road traffic control systems, which in turn will help optimize already existing road network designs. With the help of computer modeling software, it is possible to recreate already existing segments of road network, and by implementing control logic, it is possible to observe how control system and road traffic would react to various changes. This paper looks at how computer modeling software (namely SUMO) can help with the validation of road traffic control system changes without the risks of road traffic accidents caused by manipulation of real control systems.

Abstract The paper examines the influence of information attacks on the dynamics of automatic control systems. Comparison of abnormal dynamics of control objects during attacks and device failures is carried out. The similarity of the consequences of information attacks and failures of the control system is analyzed, a method for identifying attacks based on the methods developed for detecting failures is developed. Computer modeling of the influence of information attacks and failures on the control system of a DC motor has been carried out. The simulation results allow making a conclusion about the applicability of the failure detection algorithms for detecting attacks.

LaB6 emitters are becoming increasingly popular as direct replacements for tungsten filaments in the electron guns of modern electron-beam instruments. These emitters offer order of magnitude increases in beam brightness, and, with appropriate care in operation, a corresponding increase in source lifetime. They are, however, an order of magnitude more expensive, and may be easily damaged (by improper vacuum conditions and thermal shock) during saturation/desaturation operations. These operations typically require several minutes of an operator's attention, which becomes tedious and subject to error, particularly since the emitter must be cooled during sample exchanges to minimize damage from random vacuum excursions. We have designed a control system for LaBg emitters which relieves the operator of the necessity for manually controlling the emitter power, minimizes the danger of accidental improper operation, and makes the use of these emitters routine on multi-user instruments.Figure 1 is a block schematic of the main components of the control system, and Figure 2 shows the control box.
