With the rapid development of computer network, the network architecture is increasingly complicated; the scale of network extends continuously. Therefore, the functions and positions of the network management are also more and more important. The Web-Based network management, making users manage the network and system expediently and simply, combining Web technology and modern distributed network management technology, which can also be updated and customized easily to meet the different needs, is an important direction of the development of the network management technology in the future. This paper proposes an a SNMP-based Web network management system using B/S structure, which has features of flexible structure, easily extensible, user-friendly features and so on.

In order to manage and utilize telecommunication network resources more effectively, aiming at the shortage of the resource management of telecom network management system, through the study the concept of the shared information data (SID) model in the new generation of telecom operation support system (NGOSS) , according to the characteristics of the telecommunications network resources, telecommunications network resource model with object-oriented approach is proposed and designed. Meanwhile, Combined with telecommunication network business resource model to illustrate the mechanism of telecom network resource by users applications in network management system. Experiments have proved that resource model can provide powerful support for complex network management.

The paper considers semantic networks. It is a way of representing knowledge as a set of nodes-concepts connected by edges-relations. The history and current state-of-the-art of semantic networks is analyzed. The experience of designing and developing semantic network management system is described in four sections covering the following topics: data structures design, semantic analysis algorithm implementation, graph visualization methods selection and Web-based user interface development. The developed system is fully-operational tool for building and studying semantic networks. The system will be used for the further research.

Web-based network management revolving about database puts forward a feasible mode for network information processing and has the characteristics of wide distribution, full interactivity, real-time dynamic and so on in the application; and is beneficial to timely adjustment for network performance and rapid recovery for fault. Combining the technologies of JSP, JavaBean, JDBC, Socket, JavaApplet, Ajax, JavaScript and so on, database-centric network management mode ensures the reliable, efficient and stable operation of configuration, performance, fault, security and accounting management in the development of business network management system, such as TD-SCDMA network, PON network, TMPLS network, IPTV network, power network and so on. In practice, it is worth mentioning that it improves the dynamical and real-time release performance of accounting management, realizes web-based management for rate and bill. Customers could receive bills real-timely in internet and deals with them conveniently. This is propitious to the management of network vendors as well.
