Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to investigate an online monitoring strategy that incorporates fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) for deformation displacement detection, with the background that slope deformation monitoring is crucial to engineering safety supervision and disaster prevention. Design/methodology/approach – A “beam element” method has been proposed, introduced and experimentally verified in detail. The deformation displacement along a flexible bar can be obtained based on this method, using the distributed strain detected by the FBGs embedded in the bar. A novel sensor structure containing inclinometer casings and a series of connected flexible pipes with FBGs embedded has been proposed. Based on the features of this structure, two FBG deformation sensors have been manufactured and installed into a slope. A matched monitoring station which permits real-time supervision, warning and remote access across the Internet was established and operated. Findings – Displacement data from September 2013 to August 2014 are obtained, which is basically consistent with the practical situation. Originality/value – The FBG deformation sensors demonstrated a robust and reliable measurement performance, which is promising for real-time disaster warning in slope engineering.

Assuming the noise from the composition of the white noise and non - white energy limited noise. H filter considers the worst condition of limited energy noise, but the influence of white noise was ignored. At the noise signal and the system norm based on the analysis, using the hybrid filter optimization index J as the optimization goal, and its physical meaning is given. Considering the merit and defect of the H2 and H filter scheme, the filter by Riccati equation solution was established. A simulation example was shown at last. Highway slope deformation monitoring is an important guarantee for the safety of road transport means, the conventional GPS monitoring system has many advantages, but the monitoring of high cost lead to difficult application. Through the use of GPS multi-antenna network technology, use of automatic control technology, low-noise signal amplification technology, the wireless GPRS data transmission technology, remote automated highway slope monitoring, GPS network monitoring system can greatly reduce the cost to obtain reliable slope deformation information.


At present, the research on BP neural network has achieved good results in many industries and fields, but there are few projects in the application research of mineral resources mining. Under the social background of the rapid development of electronic information technology, BP neural network and GIS technology are combined to carry out research and application, which will provide a new research path for slope deformation monitoring and disaster prevention in mining area. Therefore, in the paper, the key technology of open-pit mine slope deformation automatic monitoring based on BP neural network and GIS technology was put forward. Firstly, the advantages of BP neural network were analyzed and BP neural network was selected as the prediction model of slope deformation. The artificial fish swarm algorithm was used to improve the BP neural network to improve the performance of the model. Based on the analysis and construction of GIS technology, the combination application of BP neural network and GIS technology was discussed. Through practice, the application effect of the technology was verified, and it has good theoretical and practical value
