Technical risk assessment model of large-scale construction project has been established by using triangle whitening weight function of grey theory against the problems of technical risk assessment of large-scale construction project. In the end, through example verification, this model is approved to be feasible and have certain value of reference and utilization in similar problems.

Abstract This paper presents a new concept of an approach to risk assessment which can be done on the basis of publicly available information about vulnerabilities. The presented approach uses also the notion of trust and implements many concepts used in so called trust and reputation management systems (which are widely used in WSN, MANET or P2P networks, but also in ecommerce platforms). The article shows first outcomes obtained from the presented model. The outcomes demonstrate that the model can be implemented in real system to make software management more quantified and objective process, which can have real and beneficial impact on institutional security. In article, however the emphasis was set not on the model itself (which can be easily changed) but on the possibility of finding useful information about vulnerabilities.

Aiming at the problem that the failure history data available from wind turbine are scarce and often accompanied with a high degree of uncertainty, the risk assessment using traditional failure mode and effects anaysis (FMEA) may not be well-suited. A wind turbine risk assessment method based on modified FMEA is proposed. The method introduces grey theory into traditional FMEA and use the degree of relation to rank risk level. The method is then used to assess the risk of a 1.5MW wind turbine. It is proved that this method can rank the risks of main failure modes. The assessment results can be used as a support for risk based maintenance decisions.

Based on the grey theory, a grey correlation evaluation model (GCEM) was built for risk assessment of river water quality. Five pollutants are used for risk assessment indicators, while the risk class was determined by the maximum principle. The results indicate that the water quality risk is higher in Baoji Weihe River of China. Potassium permanganate index risk is the maximum and the second is BOD5. The comparison with other methods confirmed that evaluation of GCEM is agreement with the actual condition. Moreover, this method is simple and solid for water risk evaluation and would be used for rive water environmental administration.
