AbstractThe present case report describes management of two cases with complicated coronal fracture where fractured fragments were reattached, before reattachment of fractured fragments pulpotomy was performed in both cases using different pulpotomy agents, calcium hydroxide in patient with immature apex and mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) in patient where root development was complete. Both the patients were evaluated for sign and symptoms for a period of 18 months with successful outcome.

With all aseptic precaution successful pulpotomy treatment of cariuosly exposed permanent teeth with reversible pulpitis and incomplete apex formation can prevent the need for root canal treatment. A case report is presented which demonstrates the use of pulpotomy with calcium hydroxide in order to achieve apexogenesis and the teeth were restored with glass ionomer cement. Clinical and radiographic follow up demonstrated a vital pulp and physiologic root development in comparison with the contra lateral tooth.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.3329/updcj.v1i2.13982 Update Dent. The main objective of treatment of an undeveloped tooth (immature) is to provide vital pulp therapy to allow continued development of root dentin. A case report is presented that demonstrates the use of calcium hydroxide (CaOH2) as an indirect pulp-copping material for the purpose of continued maturogenesis of an early-erupted permanent tooth with severe mobility and almost-begun root formation. Seven-year radiographic and clinical follow-up demonstrated a vital pulp and physiologic root development without any endodontic failure clinically or radiographicaly.

В статье представлено описание семейного случая миотонической дистрофии Россолимо-Штейнерта-Куршмана-Баттена. Диагноз подтвержден в результате ДНК-диагностики: выявлено увеличенное число копий CTG-повтора гена DMPK, ответственного за развитие миотонической дистрофии. A family case report of Rossolimo-Steinert-Curschmann myotonic dystrophy is presented. An increased number of copies of CTG-repeats of the DMPK gene responsible for the development of MD, i.e., the diagnosis was confirmed by molecular genetic method.
