The paper established the accurately 3D-modeling of the gear by I-DEAS, and had correlative theoretic analysis and finite element computing technology study on its dynamics meshing structure strength with the contact finite element method. Then, accomplish model studied gear-stress in the process of Gear Drive. The conclusion is used to design an upgrade similar straight gear.

The principle of generating conjugate tooth profile for elliptic gear was studied. On this basis, 3D modeling and parametrical design of elliptic gear were realized by using Solidworks API. The program provides a useful tool for further using finite element analysis to conduct strength analysis, numerical manufacture and computer aided simulation.

Thermal effects are the main obstacle to getting high power and good beam quality in diode end-pumped solid-state lasers. In this work, a theoretical investigation of thermal effects in single and dual end-pumped solid-state lasers is carried out using finite element analysis (FEA) for a selected number of widely used laser producing materials, namely, Nd:YAG, Yb:YAG, and Nd:KGW. Crystals with different dimensions are also investigated both in single and in dual end-pumped configuration. Finally, the effect of using composite crystals on thermal lensing is investigated. An experiment to measure the thermal focal length for two different crystals was carried out and a comparison with FEA computed focal length of the thermal lens is made. In all cases studied in this work, results show clear effects of thermal lensing with some differences depending on crystal type, pump power, and size.

In order to study effects of geometric parameters in fracture test, this paper used 3D modeling software Solidworks and finite element analysis software Deform to simulate the fracture process of rocket shear pin and study the effects on shear test while various geometric parameters change in the assembly of fixtures and shear pins. According the results we improved the fixtures of shear test. The new fixtures were used in the rocket shear pin fracture test.
