A 3-day International Symposium on Enzymes: Units of Biological Structure and Function, sponsored by the Henry Ford Hospital and The Edsel B. Ford Institute for Medical Research will be held in the auditorium of Henry Ford Hospital, November 1, 2, and 3, 1955. Interrelationships between enzymology and other fields, notably genetics, physiology, biochemistry, and pharmacology, will constitute the general theme of the Symposium. The specific topics for the 6 sessions will be: Origin of Enzymes, Status of the Gene-Enzyme Relationship, Enzymes and Cell Structure, Enzymatic Basis of Some Physiological Functions, Cellular Energy Sources, and Regulation of Enzyme Activity.
