ABSTRACT We report the draft genome sequence of a new Clostridium cochlearium strain, AGROS13, which was isolated from a sheep dairy farm environment in New Zealand. The genome is 2.7 Mbp, with a GC content of 28.2%. The genome sequence was found to be closely related to that of Clostridium cochlearium ATCC 17787. The new strain harbors a biosynthetic gene cluster coding for an unknown sactipeptide.

We report the draft genome sequence of a new Clostridium senegalense strain, AGRFS4, which was isolated from a dairy farm environment in the Manawatu region in New Zealand. The genome is 3.98 Mb, with a GC content of 27%. The genome sequence was found to be 86.6% similar to that of the type strain Clostridium senegalense JC122. Until now, no Clostridium senegalense strain from New Zealand has been reported.

ABSTRACT Here, we report the draft genome sequence of a new Pseudomonas saudiphocaensis strain, AGROB56, with lipolytic potential, isolated from a sheep dairy farm in New Zealand. The genome is 3.61 Mbp, with a GC content of 61.1%, and the genome sequence was found closely related to Pseudomonas saudiphocaensis 20 BNT.

ABSTRACT We report the draft genome sequence of a new Clostridium cadaveris strain, AGRFS2.2, isolated from soil in a bovine dairy farm environment in New Zealand. The genome is 3.6 Mbp long with a GC content of 31.3%. The genome sequence was found to be closely related to that of Clostridium cadaveris JCM 1392T.

We report the draft genome sequence of Streptomyces sp. TP-A0874 isolated from compost. This strain produces catechoserine, a new catecholate-type inhibitor of tumor cell invasion. The genome harbors at least six gene clusters for polyketide and nonribosomal peptide biosyntheses. The biosynthetic gene cluster for catechoserines was identified by bioinformatic analysis.

This study reports the draft genome sequence of the endophytic Streptomyces cavourensis strain YBQ59, produces the antibiotics bafilomycin D, nonactic acid, prelactone B, and 5,11-epoxy-10-cadinanol. The draft genome sequence comprises ∼10.2 Mb, with a GC content of 64% and 8,958 predicted protein-coding genes, of which 14 gene clusters were found to associate with antibiotic biosynthetic pathways.

Limisphaera ngatamarikiensis NGM72.4T is a thermophilic representative of the class Verrucomicrobiae. Isolated from geothermally heated subaqueous clay sediments from a Ngatamariki hotspring in Aotearoa New Zealand, the 3,908,748-bp genome was sequenced using the Illumina HiSeq 2500 platform. Annotation revealed 3,083 coding sequences, including 3,031 proteins, 3 rRNA genes, and 46 tRNA genes.

ABSTRACT We present the draft genome sequence of Psychrobacter okhotskensis strain 5179-1A, which was isolated from a raw cured ham storage crate. Its size and GC content are 3.4 Mb and 43.4%, respectively. The 16S rRNA sequences of strain 5179-1A and P. okhotskensis MD17T are 100% identical.
