Relevance. Integrated geological and geophysical studies of a bridge in the Makhnevo village area are considered in the frame of the Urals eastern slope geology. Research objective is to study the lithology of the underlying part of the valley floor, determine soil physical and mechanical characteristics, and study a complex of fluvial terraces. Results. Relief elevations across the river valley have been studied, and four main fluvial terrace levels typical of the Urals eastern slope have been identified. An unstable section of the streambed with a canyonshaped valley above the neotectonic unwarping zone has been identified. The geological section of the river’s floodplain and streambed were studied based on geological and geophysical data. A change in the physical properties of glauconite sandstones and clays of Paleogene age in the recent underlying part of the river valley has been established. Layers of sand and glauconite sandstone that can be developed have been found at the new bridge site near the existing sand and gravel deposit. Conclusions. A complex of terraces of the Tagil river valley in its middle course is typical for the Urals eastern slope. The paleovalley is cut into a Paleogene glauconite sandstone layer. In the underlying part of the valley floor, changes in sandstones and clays physical properties have been recorded, and the presence of hypogene minerals was revealed. These are the signs of possible neotectonic processes in the series of the Cenozoic and Quaternary deposits.

Result of an extensive moss study of earlier nearly unexplored areas of the northeastern part of the Subpolar Urals, namely Khulga River Basin is presented. An annotated list of mosses is compiled based on the identification of 1200 specimens collected in the Khulga River Basin (60.45–65.20°N, 60.42–62.20°E). The river starts at the border between the Polar and Subpolar Urals and flows down southwards along the eastern slope of the Ural Mountains to the confluence with the Severnaya Sosva River near the village Saranpaul (Berezovo District, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area — Yugra). The list includes 210 moss species, of which 56 species are new to the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area — Yugra. Five species are new to the Urals: Didymodon perobtusus, Lewinskya iwatsukii, Schistidium frisvollianum, Sphagnum mirum, Warnstorfia tundrae. Further 9 species were found in the Subpolar Urals for the first time: Dicranum bardunovii, D. laevidens, D. schljakovii, Encalypta pilifera, Flexitrichum gracile, Grimmia elatior, G. tergestina, Orthotrichum hyperboreum, Sphagnum annulatum. The data on occurrence of many moss species, which were previously known from single finds in the mountainous part of the area, is significantly expanded. Ecology, phytocenotic preference and distribution of the recorded species are discussed.

Детальные полевые наблюдения и петрохимические исследования позволили выделить вблизи Бу- ронского колчеданно-полиметаллического месторождения среди глубоко полиметаморфизованных по- род буронской толщи реликтовые эффузивные породы, превращенные во вторичные кварциты (зоны выщелачивания) и сменяющиеся рассланцованными зеленокаменно измененными порфиритоидами, переслаивающимися с обеленными кварцево-серицитовыми и кварцево-хлоритовыми сланцами и гидро- термально измененными кварцитами-фельзитами. В кварцитах, представляющих почти мономинеральную кварцевую породу (содержание кварца в них составляет 75?80 %), удалось выявить реликтовую порфировую структуру – таблитчатые вкрапленники плагиоклаза полностью замещены кварцем, при четком сохранении их первоначальной таблитчатой фор- мы. Также удалось выявить бластопорфировую структуру порфиритоидов с реликтовой микролитовой структурой основной массы. Ниже дается подробная характеристика стратиграфического положения этих древних эффузивных пород в составе буронской толщи, их петрологических и петрохимических особен- ностей. Пространственная связь Буронского колчеданно-полиметаллического месторождения с обеленными кварцево-серицитовыми сланцами, с зонами вторичных кварцитов и зонами рассланцованных зеленока- менно измененных порфиритоидов очевидна, и может служить признаком при поисках и разведке кол- чеданно-полиметаллического оруденения буронского типа и поставить его в один ряд с колчеданными месторождениями восточного склона Урала и северо-западного Кавказа типа Урупа. Detailed field observations and petrochemical studies allowed to identify close Bolonskogo pyrite-polymetallic deposits among deep polymetamorphic rocks boronski strata relic effusive rocks, converted into secondary quartzites (zone of leaching) and changing russiantvonline Greenstone changed porpitidae, whitewashing interstratified with quartz-sericite and quartz-chlorite schists and hydrothermally altered quartzite-felsite. In quartzite, representing a monomineralic quartz rock (silica content is 75?80 %), it was possible to identify relict porphyritic structure – tabular phenocrysts of plagioclase are completely replaced by quartz, with strict preservation of its original tablet form. Also able to identify blastoporphyritic structure porphyrinoids microlites with relict structure of the main mass. Below is a detailed description of the stratigraphic position of these ancient effusive rocks within boronski strata, and petrological and petrochemical peculiarities. Spatial relationship Bolonskogo pyrite-polymetallic deposits with whitewash quartz-sericite schists, with zones of secondary quartzite and Greenstone areas RussianTown modified porphyrinoids obvious, and can serve as a basis in prospecting for pyrite-polymetallic mineralization Bolonskogo type and put it on a par with the pyrite deposits of the Eastern slope of the Urals and North-Western Caucasus the type of Urup.

Research subject. The article presents the results of dating two dolerite dikes differing in geochemical features from a section along the Iset river in the area of Smolinskoe settlement (the Eastern zone of the Middle Urals). Materials and methods. The dating was performed by an U-Pb ID-TIMS technique for single zircon grains using an artificial 205Pb/235U tracer in the laboratory of geochronology and isotope geochemistry of the Geological Institute of the Kola Science Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The lead isotopic composition and uranium and lead concentrations were measured using a Finnigan-MAT (RPQ) seven-channel mass spectrometer in dynamic mode using a secondary electron multiplier and RPQ quadrupole in ion counting mode. Results. The dikes were dated 330 ± 3 Ma and 240 ± 2 Ma. Conclusions. The research results indicate different ages of dolerite dikes developed within the Eastern zone of the Middle Urals. The oldest of the two established age levels corresponds to the Early Carboniferous era. This fact, along with the proximity of the dolerites to the petrochemical features of the basaltoids of the Early Carboniferous Beklenischevsky volcanic complex, allows these bodies to be considered as hypabyssal comagmates of these volcanics. The youngest obtained age level – Triassic – indicates that the introduction of some dolerite dikes was associated with the final phases of the trapp formation developed rarely within the eastern outskirts of the Urals and widely further east in the foundation (pre-Jurassic basement) of the West-Siberian Plate.
