Torulopsis pampelonensis sp. nov. A new species of yeast isolated from beech forest soil
Keyword(s):
A new yeast species, Torulopsis pampelonensis is described. Six strains were recovered from a gleyic Andosol under a beech forest and two other strains from the surface of fallen leaves of Fagus silvatica L. Although it showed some morphological and physiological similarities with Torulopsis tannotolerans Jacob and Torulopsis navarrensis Ramírez and Moriyón, it differed from all Torulopsis species presently known.
