Two nuclear reactions of astrophysical interest, 26Mg(3He,d)27Al and 26Mg(d,p)27Mg, were measured for extraction of the Asymptotic Normalization Coefficients. Investigation of the target composition is presented, as well as the effects that showed up during analysis of the in-beam data obtained on CANAM accelerators in the Nuclear Physics Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences (NPI CAS).

We discuss the effects of non-inertial motion in reactions occurring in laboratory, stars, and elsewhere. It is demonstrated that non-inertial effects due to large accelerations during nuclear collisions might have appreciable effects nuclear and atomic transitions. We also explore the magnitude of the corrections induced by strong gravitational fields on nuclear reactions in massive, compact stars, and the neighborhood of black holes.

In this article we present a new experimental approach for production of heavy and superheavy elements (HE, SHE). Nuclear reactions at low incident energies induced by heavy ion (HI) projectiles on fissile target nuclei are investigated. Dedicated detection setup is presented and the preliminary results for the reaction 197Au(7.5 MeV /u) + 232Th, studied at the Cyclotron Institute of Texas A&M University, are given.

A dedicated laboratory at Laboratori Nazionali del Sud (LNS) of Catania was realized with the aim to investigate nuclear reactions of astrophysical interest in plasma environment. In this contribution, the facility LENS (Laser Energy for Nuclear Science), useful to study laser- produced plasmas, will be described and some results will be presented.
