The aim of this paper is to present an effective field theory description of the conversion transition of the vector meson V into the pseudoscalar P and the lepton-pair l+l-. The normalized form factor for ω → π0γ* transition is presented and compared to the available data and to the predictions of other models.

Abstract We use the on-shell S-matrix and form factors to compute anomalous dimensions of higher dimension operators in the Standard Model Effective Field Theory. We find that in many instances, these computations are made simple by using the on-shell method. We first compute contributions to anomalous dimensions of operators at dimension-six that arise at one-loop. Then we calculate two-loop anomalous dimensions for which the corresponding one-loop contribution is absent, using this powerful method.

Abstract We study the forward-backward asymmetry AFB in pp → ℓ+ℓ− at the Z peak within the Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT). We find that this observable provides per mille level constraints on the vertex corrections of the Z boson to quarks, which close a flat direction in the electroweak precision SMEFT fit. Moreover, we show that current AFB data is precise enough so that its inclusion in the fit improves significantly LEP bounds even in simple New Physics setups. This demonstrates that the LHC can compete with and complement LEP when it comes to precision measurements of the Z boson properties.
