We study two versions of lightcone sum rules to calculate the γ*γ → π0 transition form factor (TFF) within QCD. While the standard version is based on fixed-order perturbation theory by means of a power-series expansion in the strong coupling, the new method incorporates radiative corrections by renormalization-group summation and generates an expansion within a generalized fractional analytic perturbation theory involving only analytic couplings. Using this scheme, we determine the relative nonperturbative parameters and the first two Gegenbauer coefficients of the pion distribution amplitude (DA) to obtain TFF predictions in good agreement with the preliminary BESIII data, while the best-fit pion DA satisfies the most recent lattice constraints on the second moment of the pion DA at the three-loop level.

AbstractA symmetry-preserving regularisation of a vector $$\times $$ × vector contact interaction (SCI) is used to deliver a unified treatment of semileptonic transitions involving $$\pi $$ π , K, $$D_{(s)}$$ D ( s ) , $$B_{(s,c)}$$ B ( s , c ) initial states. The framework is characterised by algebraic simplicity, few parameters, and the ability to simultaneously treat systems from Nambu–Goldstone modes to heavy+heavy mesons. Although the SCI form factors are typically somewhat stiff, the results are comparable with experiment and rigorous theory results. Hence, predictions for the five unmeasured $$B_{s,c}$$ B s , c branching fractions should be a reasonable guide. The analysis provides insights into the effects of Higgs boson couplings via current-quark masses on the transition form factors; and results on $$B_{(s)}\rightarrow D_{(s)}$$ B ( s ) → D ( s ) transitions yield a prediction for the Isgur–Wise function in fair agreement with contemporary data.

In this paper magnetic dipole moment form factor, [Formula: see text], describing the radial excitation of decuplet baryons to octet baryons electromagnetic transitions as well as the ratios, [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] are calculated in the framework of light-cone sum rules. We also estimate the degree of the violation of U-spin symmetry.

AbstractIn a radiative Auger process, optical decay leaves other carriers in excited states, resulting in weak red-shifted satellite peaks in the emission spectrum. The appearance of radiative Auger in the emission directly leads to the question if the process can be inverted: simultaneous photon absorption and electronic demotion. However, excitation of the radiative Auger transition has not been shown, neither on atoms nor on solid-state quantum emitters. Here, we demonstrate the optical driving of the radiative Auger transition, linking few-body Coulomb interactions and quantum optics. We perform our experiments on a trion in a semiconductor quantum dot, where the radiative Auger and the fundamental transition form a Λ-system. On driving both transitions simultaneously, we observe a reduction of the fluorescence signal by up to 70%. Our results suggest the possibility of turning resonance fluorescence on and off using radiative Auger as well as THz spectroscopy with optics close to the visible regime.
