This paper is concerned with delay-dependent stability for continuous systems with two additive time-varying delay components. By constructing a new class of Lyapunov functional and using a new convex polyhedron method, a new delay-dependent stability criterion is derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities. The obtained stability criterion is less conservative than some existing ones. Finally, numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

The problem of delay-dependent robust stability of uncertain stochastic systems with time-varying delay is discussed in this paper. Based on the Lyapunov-Krasovskii theory and free-weighting matrix technique, new delay-dependent stability criterion is presented. The criterion is in terms of linear matrix inequality (LMI) which can be solved by various available algorithms.

This paper deals with the problem of delay-dependent stability criterion of arbitrary switched linear systems with time-varying delay. Based on switched quadratic Lyapunov functional approach and free-weighting matrix approach, some linear matrix inequality criterions are found to guarantee delay-dependent asymptotically stability of these systems. Simultaneously, arbitrary switched linear system can be expressed as a problem of uncertain liner system, so some delay-dependent stability criterions are obtained with the result of uncertain liner system. Two examples illustrate the exactness of the proposed criterions.

This paper investigates the stability of static recurrent neural networks (SRNNs) with a time-varying delay. Based on the complete delay-decomposing approach and quadratic separation framework, a novel Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional is constructed. By employing a reciprocally convex technique to consider the relationship between the time-varying delay and its varying interval, some improved delay-dependent stability conditions are presented in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Finally, a numerical example is provided to show the merits and the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

In this paper, we consider the problem of robust delay-dependent stability for a class of linear uncertain systems with interval time-varying delay. By using the directly Lyapunov-Krasovskii (L-K) functional method, integral inequality approach and the free weighting matrix technique, new less conservative stability criteria for the system is formulated in terms of linear matrix inequalities .Numerical examples are given to show the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

A novel combined convex method is developed for the stability of linear systems with a time-varying delay. A new delay-dependent stability condition expressed in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) is derived by employing a dedicated constructed Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional (LKF), utilizing the Wirtinger inequality and the reciprocally convex approach to handle the integral term of quadratic quantities. Different from the previous convex techniques which only tackle the time-varying delay, our method adopts the idea of combined convex technique which can tackle not only the delay but also the delay variation. Four well-known examples are illustrated to show the effectiveness of the proposed results.

This paper investigates the delay-dependent robust stability of neutral systems with time-varying discrete delays and time-varying structured uncertainties. New delay-dependent stability criteria are obtained and formulated in the form of a linear matrix inequality. Since the criteria take the sizes of the neutral delay, discrete delay and derivative of discrete delay into account, they are less conservative than previous methods. Numerical example is given to indicate significant improvements over some existing results.

A new method is proposed for the delay-dependent stability control of fuzzy systems with time-varying delay. A new fuzzy Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional (LKF) is introduced to establish a delay-dependent stability criterion. Based on parallel distributed compensation (PDC) scheme, a stabilization condition is derived and the corresponding controller can be obtained by solving a set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs).

This paper is concerned with delay-dependent stability for systems with interval time varying delay. By defining a new Lyapunov functional which contains a triple-integral term with the idea of decomposing the delay interval of time-varying delay, an improved criterion of asymptotic stability is derived in term of linear matrix inequalities. The criterion proves to be less conservative with fewer matrix variables than some previous ones. Finally, a numerical example is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
