Stečkin proved an inequality on Fejér means of Fourier series He said, “Proving similar inequality for other summability method is an interesting problem.” We generalize Stečkin's inequality and give various applications to summability methods.

In this paper we prove that the maximal operator of the Marcinkiewicz-Fejér means of the 2-dimensional Vilenkin-Fourier series is not bounded from the Hardy space H2/3 ( G2 ) to the space L2/3 ( G2 ).

This paper unifies several versions of the Orlicz–Pettis theorem that incorporate summability methods. We show that a series is unconditionally convergent if and only if the series is weakly subseries convergent with respect to a regular linear summability method. This includes results using matrix summability, statistical convergence with respect to an ideal, and other variations of summability methods.

The results generalizing some theorems onN, pnE, γsummability are shown. The same degrees of pointwise approximation as in earlier papers by weaker assumptions on considered functions and examined summability methods are obtained. From presented pointwise results, the estimation on norm approximation is derived. Some special cases as corollaries are also formulated.
