Two new genera and nine new species of the feather mite subamily Pterodectinae (Proctophyllodidae) are described from passerines and woodpeckers in Vietnam: Dolichodectes furcilobus sp. n. from Copsychus malabaricus (Scopoli) (Muscicapidae), Montesauria abroscopi sp. n. from Abroscopus superciliaris (Blyth) (Cettiidae), M. macronoi sp. n. from Macronous gularis (Horsfield) (Timaliidae), M. pellornei sp. n. from Pellorneum ruficeps Swainson (Pellorneidae), M. phylloscopi sp. n. from Phylloscopus ricketti (Slater) (Phylloscopidae), M. seicerci sp. n. from Seicercus valentini (Hartert) (Phylloscopidae), Picipterodectes sasiae gen. n., sp. n. from Sasia ochracea Hodgson (Picidae), Proterothrix alcippeae sp. n. from Alcippe rufogularis (Mandelli) (Pellorneidae), and Vireodectes erporni gen. n., sp. n. from Erpornis zantholeuca (Blyth) (Vireonidae). The new genera Picipterodectes gen. n. and Vireodectes gen. n. belong to the Proterothrix generic group uniting archaic genera in the tribe Pterodectini. Brief comments on the current state of systematics of the genera Dolichodectes Park and Atyeo, 1971, Montesauria Oudemans, 1905 and Proterothrix Gaud, 1968 are provided. A new species group macronoi is established in the genus Montesauria.

AbstractThree new genera of feather mites of the Protolichus generic group (Pterolichidae, Pterolichinae), restricted to parrots, are established based on re-examination of type series and some previously unidentified mite specimens deposited in the collection of E. Trouessart (Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle, Paris, France): Loriprotolichus gen. nov. with the type species Loriprotolichus charmosynae sp. nov. from Charmosyna papou (Scopoli, 1786) and Loriprotolichus falculiger (Trouessart, 1884) comb. nov. from Glossopsitta concinna (Shaw, 1791); Calyptolichus gen. nov. with type species Calyptolichus favettei (Trouessart, 1899) comb. nov.; Nestorilichus gen. nov. with the type species Nestorilichus atyeoi sp. nov. from Nestor meridionalis (Gmelin, 1788). Several taxonomic changes were implemented in the course of re-examination of the type series. The holotype of Pterolichus (Protolichus) falculiger Trouessart, 1884 is designated. Re-examination of the full syntype series of P. (Protolichus) favettei Trouessart, 1899 representing samples from different hosts, recovered two distinct pterolichid species of the Protolichus generic group. The sample clearly corresponding to the original description (Trouessart, 1899) is fixed as the lectotype and nomenclatural type of P. (Protolichus) favettei; the second species is described as a new species Nestorilichus atyeoi. Protolichus (Mesolichus) favettei cordifora Favette et Trouessart, 1904 is synonymized with P. (Protolichus) favettei.

The history of the genus Eupithecia Curtis is reviewed, and a preliminary redescription of the genus is proposed on the basis of the Palaearctic, Nearctic and Oriental fauna. Several Asian species previously placed in Eupithecia  have been found to be anomalous. These are examined and some are placed in related genera, two of them new (Pareupithecia and Girida). A further group (the ‘subrubescens’ group) is retained within Eupithecia as a separate species group. The genus Eva Vojnits is redescribed. A new species is described in the genus Mesoptila Meyrick. Descriptions are given of all genera involved, and full lists of taxa included within them, with the exception of Eupithecia itself. Selected adults and genitalia are illustrated. Taxonomic changes proposed in this paper include: new genera Pareupithecia, Girida; new species  Mesoptila murcida; new synonymies, Emmesocoma Warren, 1907 of Mesoptila Meyrick, 1891 and Horisme sternecki Prout, 1938 of Chloroclystis chingana Wehrli, 1926; new combinations Mesoptila melanolopha Swinhoe, 1895, Mesoptila unitaeniata Warren, 1906, Mesoptila deviridata Warren, 1907, Mesoptila excita Prout, 1958, Mesoptila festiva Prout, 1916, Eupithecia eurytera Prout, 1938, Eupithecia chingana Wehrli, 1926, Pareupithecia spadix Inoue, 1955, Girida rigida Swinhoe, 1892, Girida sporadica Prout, 1932; reinstated taxon Eupithecia brevifasciaria Leech, 1897; and status change  Girida sporadica Prout, 1932.

Anthaxia (Anthaxia) simandli sp. nov., a new endemic species from Iran is described, together with the hitherto unknown male of Anthaxia (Anthaxia) magnifica Bílý, 1983. New synonymy of Anthaxia (Anthaxia) mancatula Abeille, 1900 = Anthaxia (Anthaxia) intermedia Obenberger, 1913 syn. nov. is proposed, and a lectotype for A. mancatula is designated. All species are illustrated, and comments on their bionomy, distribution, and taxonomic position are given, as well as on the current state of the Anthaxia (Anthaxia) manca (Linnaeus, 1767) species-group in Iran.

A new species of Iguanidae Liolaemini lizard from the San Guillermo National Park in western Argentina, is described. The new species is a member of the Liolaemus darwinii complex within the monophyletic boulengeri species group. It is distinguished by its small body size, relatively long tail, low number of scales around midbody, dorsal scales moderately keeled, precloacal pores only in male, bulged patch of enlarged scales on the proximal posterior surface of the thigh in both sexes, dorsal pattern lacking of light vertebral or dorsolateral stripes, antehumeral fold without black pigment in female but greyish in male, a prescapular dark dot dorsal to antehumeral fold in both sexes, and postscapular spot absent. The new species is terrestrial, living in habitats with gravel and sandy soil in an Andean Monte landscape with sparse vegetation, above 2270 meters of altitude.

Tychus meggiolaroi sp. n. from Lebanon is described and illustrated. It belongs to the Tychus cilicicus species group (Sabella & Kurbatov 2002) and can be readily distinguished from related taxa by the different structure of the aedeagus and morphological features of antennae.
