A list of species of Lamiinae (Cerambycidae) collected in Iguaçu National Park (PNI) during the period from March 2012 to December 2015, using different collection methods, is provided. A total of 134 species were sampled, all recorded for the first time in the PNI and including 38 new distribution records for the state of Paraná, and one new record for Brazil. The geographic distribution and material examined are stated for each species. Each new record also accompanied by an illustration of the species.

A list of species of the Prioninae, Parandrinae and Lepturinae (Cerambycidae) and Disteniidae sampled in the Iguaçu National Park (PNI) from March 2012 to December 2015 using different collection methods, is presented. Twenty species were recorded, all of which are registered for the first time for the PNI, including three Parandrinae species represent new distribution records for the state of Paraná. Details of distribution, the material examined and an illustration are given for each species.

A list of species of Cerambycinae (Cerambycidae) collected in Iguaçu National Park (PNI) during the period from March 2012 to December 2018 is provided. A total of 135 species were sampled using different collection methods, all recorded for the first time in the PNI and including 21 new distribution records for the state of Paraná, and two new records for Brazil. The geographic distribution and material examined are stated for each species. A photograph of each newly recorded species is also provided.

Abstract A taxonomic treatment of the genera Turnera and Piriqueta in the state of Pernambuco, northeastern Brazil, is presented. Fourteen species of Turnera and six species of Piriqueta were found in the Atlantic Forest and Caatinga, of which nine are endemic to Brazil. Turnera pernambucensis is threatened and restricted to the Atlantic Forest of Pernambuco, while T. joelii is a new record for the state. The species predominate in steppe savanna and semideciduous seasonal forest, but several of them grow naturally in anthropized areas. Catimbau National Park is the locality with the highest species richness. Tristyly is recorded for the first time in Piriqueta guianensis. Identification keys, descriptions, illustrations, distribution maps, and comments about habitat, flowering, fruiting, and morphological relationships are provided.

We present new records of Passifloraceae sensu stricto from Itatiaia National Park, Brazil, contributing new data on the geographic distribution of four Passiflora L. species to the flora of Brazil: P. deidamioides Harms, P. miersii Mast., P. rhamnifolia Mast., and P. setulosa Killip. The last three species are reported from Itatiaia National Park and the last species from the state of Rio de Janeiro for the first time.

Desmoncus leptoclonos Drude is recorded for the first time for the state of São Paulo, Brazil. Based on this new record, the geographical distribution of Desmoncus Mart. for Brazil is expanded. An identification key to climbing species of Brazilian Desmoncus, a description, a map of geographic distribution, photographs, and comments concerning Desmoncus leptoclonos are provided.

ABSTRACT As a cosmopolitan family, Ganodermataceae has as distinctive characteristic the presence of double-walled basidiospore: the inner wall thick and ornamented, and the outer wall smooth. Even with the increasing interest in this family, the species are still poorly known in different regions of the brazilian territory, such as in the central Brazil. This study presents new distribution remarks of Ganodermataceae species in different sites of the biome Cerrado, in the Midwest region. We found 23 specimens from five species which are distributed into three genera, Amauroderma, Foraminispora and Ganoderma. From those species, one is a new record for the Cerrado (A. exile), four are new for the State of Goiás A. exile, F. rugosa, G. multiplicatum and G. stipitatum and one for the Distrito Federal (G. stipitatum). Amauroderma aurantiacum is rediscovered in Goiás after 88 years. This study contributes to improving the knowledge regarding the geographic distribution of these taxa in Brazil.

Complete descriptions are given of Mesodorylaimus potus Heyns, 1963, a new record for the Kruger National Park and M. aegypticus (Andrassy, 1958) recorded here for the first time from South Africa. Additional information and new distribution records are given for Mesodorylaimus sp. cf paralitoralis (Basson & Heyns, 1974) and Thornenema haldum (Thome, 1939). A compendium is also presented for the 17 recognized Mesodorylaimus species from South Africa.

We report for the first time the snake Thamnodynastes almae Franco & Ferreira, 2002 in Piauí, northeastern Brazil. Our record is based on two specimens and comprises the 17th known locality for the species. The new record represents the northernmost and westernmost locality, at the limit between the Caatinga and the Maranhão Babaçu Forest ecoregions, and extends this species’ geographic distribution 495 km from Milagres, state of Ceará. Updated distribution maps and images of preserved specimens are provided.

Three new species of Otostigmus Porat, 1876 from Brazilian Atlantic Forest are described. Otostigmus beckeri sp. n. andO. lanceolatus sp. n. are described from the state of Bahia and O. giupponii sp. n. from the state of Espírito Santo. InBrazil, the otostigmine scolopendrid genus Otostigmus comprises 22 species. A summary of Brazilian Otostigmus speciesis presented with new distribution records, taxonomic remarks when appropriate and an identification key. Otostigmus sul-catus Meinert, 1886 is recorded for the first time from Brazil; the Andean Otostigmus silvestrii Kraepelin 1903, previouslyrecorded from Brazil, is here considered not to be present in this country. Eight nominal species are regarded here as newsynonyms. Five of them—Otostigmus pradoi Bücherl, 1939, O. longistigma Bücherl, 1939, O. longipes Bücherl, 1939,O. langei Bücherl, 1946 and O. dentifusus Bücherl, 1946—are based on females of O. tibialis Brölemann, 1902. O. latipesBücherl, 1954 is conspecific with and is considered a junior synonym of O. sulcatus Meinert, 1886; O. limbatus diminutusBücherl, 1946 is a junior synonym of O. limbatus Meinert, 1886 and O. fossulatus Attems, 1928 is a junior synonym of O. goeldii Brölemann, 1898. A lectotype is designated for O. goeldii.

We present the first occurrence of Trachycephalus nigromaculatus Tschudi, 1838 in the state of Piauí. This new record is from southern Piauí and represents the northwestern known occurrence record of this species, expanding its geographic distribution.
