Pediatric Urology, edited by Mr. D. Innes Williams, of the Hospital for Sick Children, Great Ormond Street, London, is a well-bal-anced compendium of the current information and thinking of leading British pediatric urologists. These urologists are all thoroughly conversant with the views held in other countries, largely as a result of the ever-increasing number of national and international meetings devoted to this branch of urology during the last decade. Each of the authors writes in the succinct and attractive style so commonly found in English medical writing; practically every facet of pediatric urology is touched upon in the 36 chapters and 4 appendices.

There are many texts on allergy; a number of them deal with allergy in childhood. Why this one? What are the features that characterize Dr. Fontana's recent book? The clinical manifestations of allergy in childhood are described in various chapters together with appropriate treatment. The book is well written, obviously the work of a master with an intimate first-hand knowledge of the subject. Particularly useful are the discussions of differential diagnosis included with each entity. Therapy to avoid as well as therapy to adopt is stressed.
